Thank you both for responses. Of course I Googled this question before I put up my post, however,.specific Second Life settings are not covered by any of the standard web pages on this. Thats why I was specifically addressing my question to Second Life users who use Smoothwall. For info to Rolig, Smoothwall is a UK company, not the Philippines, that sells a corporate firewall but also a free version for single users which is what I'm using. Thanks anyway.

Need some help from technically minded avatars! I’m unable to connect to Second Life since I started using firewall software called Smoothwall Express-installed on a separate machine. I’ve looked in Second Life tech support and it tells me that I’ll need to enable outbound TCP and UDP access for several named ports. My question is: do any of you use Smoothwall Express 3.1 because it’s not clear how to open the ports! I’ve been in contact with Smoothwall’s own support but no response as yet. Any help much appreciated J

I suddenly cant rez objects and see the error message: "Cant rez object at (my address) because "the owner of this land does not allow it" . As a premium member I have a linden home and I have always been able to rez any objects before this. I have removed all objects/ prims etc from the home and also stripped down my avatar but this hasnt solved the problem. Any ideas folks? Thanks

After logging in my avatar displays only as a milky cloud and never resolves. I get the message that "clothing is still downloading" but that's all. Have had the problem for about 2 weeks, never had it before. I use Phoenix viewer and the official SL viewer. Thx Sherry

Ive invited my friend Kerkie Kenin to visit my Linden home but she is denied access? We cant see why this should be. Can you help? Thx
