I contracted the v6000 virus a few months back and brought it into Best buy to have it mended. They informed me after their research that it was the v6000 virus and that I most likely got it through someone on sl or through streaming media in sl. I am not pointing fingers at sl, let me say that right out. I am worried it could perhaps be something in my inventory, on my avatar, or something I got through streaming media. Most anything on me was custom altered by myself and bought in game through noteable sources. Though I do remember a sandbox with a odd particle box and I occassionally attempted to listen to music through streaming media in a few lands/sims. Now, I have not touched the game since and would like to continue playing again, but have been rather paranoid about contracting it again. Is it possible to contract it again by just logging in, of course logging into a trusted sim and turning of streaming media first, or am I being overly paranoid and careful? Any light you folks can put on the subject would be much appreciated. Cheers and thanks! ~Dire
