  1. This might sound crazy, but could this maybe be in some way related to using the web-based teleport through the marketplace? Since deleting my logs folder, I've only experienced the quick flash crash logger, but I noticed that after using the marketplace to teleport to a store in-world, the crash logger lingers until I close it (as I reported in the OP).

I've since deleted the logs folder and am back to the quick logger.

  2. To clarify, I'm only seeing the crash logger pop-up once I've closed the viewer. Though, reading your report, it does sound like you're experiencing what I've been going through for over a week now. Hopefully this can be resolved; it doesn't impact my experience, but it's annoying.

EDIT - I deleted my logs folder as you mentioned in the report, but while I'm still seeing the crash logger appear after closing the client, it's now closing very quickly (as you oringally reported). This is using the current public viewer build available from the site.

  3. The one currently available on your website...

  4. For a couple of weeks now, I've been experiencing a weird issue: Whenever I close my SL viewer (latest Linden viewer), the program closes just fine, but I get a small pop up window:

    Second Life Crash Logger
Sending to alternate server, try 1 ...

It's the strangest thing. I've tried reinstalling the viewer, but it continues to flash this error every time I close out.

  5. So I've been scouring the forums lately to see if there were any other reports of this, but as of the last few weeks (don't remember when the first instance was) I've noticed that SL has been eating objects I set out.

Most recently, I tried to lay out a nice--expensive--rug given to me by a friend, and after just a few seconds while the scripts initialized, it disappeared. It wasn't returned to me--not in my lost and found, my trash, or anywhere else in my inventory. I brought in the parcel/sim owner to see if they could find the object, but it was nowhere to be found.

Just a few moments ago, I tried setting out a picture frame. The same thing happened, except this time I may have discovered the source: I had forgotten to turn on my land group tag. I got the error saying I don't have permission to rez objects and the picture frame was removed from in-world. But lo and behold, it was not returned to my inventory. Not my lost and found, not my trash, nowhere. I spoke with the land owner again and it's nowhere.

What is going on? I've never had a problem with objects being returned to me when I accidentally forget to flip on my group titles. Now I'm out one very expensive rug and a picture frame with sentimental value.

Is anyone else experiencing this? What could cause this? What recourse is there for me to get my items returned or at least compensation in the case of the rug (the picture frame was pricess)?
