  1. Thank you both so much for responding!!! Whatta day. I noticed with the first shot that you couldn't read a thing and also that it showed I was disconnected. When I was taking the screenshot I hit the wrong F-key and shutdown my wireless. Once up and running again I checked my task manager (hadn't thought of that!) and then updated my anti-virus. This resulted in another reboot and this time - some kind of lengthy process ran (chkdsk!) prior to starting windows and.....

SUCESS!!!!!!! I now have the new viewer!!! Really didn't want to upgrade but after today, I'm just happy to be back inworld!

Thanks again to both of you for the quick responses! :)

  2. Pardon my lack of technical lingo....

I use viewer 2....there are some upgrades that I have been ignoring as I like the viewer as it is and am not a fan of change!  Last night I tried to log in and did but, things were wacky and I soon crashed.  Next attempt promted this "chkdsk utility" error that I remember having a lonnnng time ago (can't remember the fix though!).

Next attemp to log in brought up all these installation windows and next thing I knew an install bar was running across my screen for the latest version of the viewer and there was nothing I could do to stop it so, in a blind panic, I shut down my comp.

To make a long story short, I have now come to a point where I've un-installed what I had and am trying to get the latest version from sl.com.  I have attached a screenshot of the error that I'm getting....

I will be eternally grateful to anyone who knows how to help me with this problem!!!!  Thank you!!!!!!!!
