my sl keeps freezing up on me what is going on? i have reboot my sl uninstalled and reloaded and still it freezes. it been doing this now for about 2 weeks

I'm unable to get a Edit menu when i try to click on my stuff to move or lock any thing the only thing i do get is the arrow keys to take the object and move it up or down or left and right or back and forth no Menu come up any where on my screen. another thing i having probs with is when i sign in it take's what seams forever till my av shows up on my screen seams to load slow
