I agree that profiles shouldn't hold as much weight as they do, but mine is still pretty shabby. I have tried to put information on it in the past but I don't have much to say about my second life except that I'm new, and I'm worried that would make people less likely to approach me. That might just be me being paranoid though. Thank you everyone for the advice. I will be attempting to fix up my profile tonight and to be patient with the entire social process.

I have left and returned to Second Life many times since 2007. Everytime I return it just never seems to work out. I'm always polite and respectful. But people just end up ignoring me or walking away. What am I doing wrong? I'd like to stay and enjoy Second Life, but everytime I come back I just get dissapointed that I can't find anyone and leave again.
