  1. I would like to open this up a bit. It's too late to do so in my OP, so will attempt that here.

In addition to citing quotes you've seen inworld, are there quotes found anywhere in our grand Universe that can apply to Second Life? And you can explain how your quote applies to Second Life if you wish.

    Like:

“You're the oddest person I've ever met, you couldn't get rid of me if you tried.”
    Audrey Niffenegger,
    Her Fearful Symmetry

        * Who has not met a strange person in Second Life you never wanted to let go of?

    Or:

“The world we suggest is a new wild west. A sensuous evil world. Strange and haunting, the path of the sun…”
    Jim Morrison

         * So much could be said about this quote as it pertains to Second Life, most likely it would differ for each person.

  2. I love to read profiles and discover interesting quotes. I've received quite a few from various groups in SL too. What are some of your favorite quotes --quotes with insight, funny ones, or plain odd & bizarre quotes.

This is a favorite of mine from Einstein (although debated regarding exact accuracy) I picked up in a SL group and pasted into my saves of lovely quotes:

A human being is a part of the whole, called by us “Universe”, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest — a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty. Nobody is able to achieve this completely, but the striving for such achievement is in itself a part of the liberation and a foundation for inner security.

Some creators are greedy and think way too highly of themselves. They're no-names outside of their niche in a tiny game that most people think is dead, yet they expect to be treated like they're doing a public service for the good of everyone by letting you buy from them. Reality needs to give them a good slap.

Unpopular Opinion: Customers are self-entitled whiners that don't deserve nice things.

Unpopular Opinion: The human race is doomed.
