  1.   For the past two weeks I have been having this issue. I attempt to log in to seconlife on various viewers on various accounts and each time I get a DNS hostname error. I posted a question here a week or so ago and got a few ideas to fix the problem. All of which have not worked. I'm on a Windows 7 laptop that is wired to the modem. I've attempted the ipconfig /release and renew. I've tried using both google's and various other dns servers. I've tried redownloading my drivers. I've done a ipconfig /flushdns.

I am literally at the end of my rope with this. Is there anyone that can help?

  2. I've been on Second Life for some time. This is the first time I've encountered this problem.  Yesterday I logged off for several hours and when I returned and attempted to log back in I got a DNS error. I've read the forums and answers and have tried everything that was suggested. Even leaving my computer off, the router disconnected as well as the modem over night.   Still I get the same DNS error message. I can log into the website, obviously, and any other website I might try. I can log into other online games, just not SL.   I've even attempted to use the Google DNS alternate server addresses, nothing seems to work.

Anyone have a clue to what could be the issue?
