Now I know you can go into preferences and disable typing sound and animation, but that's not what I want. I want to keep the animation and lose the sound. So I did some investigating and found if you go into the debug settings and select 'UISndTyping' and remove the UUID text thing it disables mine and everyone else's typing sound. Great! But the problem is it's just a client-side thing. Everyone else can hear my clackety-clack-clacking. And with it being able to be heard halfway across a sim I'm sure other people will find it an annoyance. I do So is there a way to completely disable it so that no-one can hear it but keep the animation, which I like as a visual signal that someone is typing? My guess is not, otherwise I'd have found the answer by now. But I'd have thought it would have been quite a popular option and that the Lindens would have added it by now.
