no-reply@secondlife.com is not my verified address.
At first I was inclined to blame gmail. But now I tested with @freedom.nl.invalid. An email adress that is guaranteed to not exist. And you are right. Second Life indeed gives not an error mssage and pretends te mail has been sent.
