@Rowan Amore, the email is sent From: chris0991 <no-reply@secondlife.com> I can change the chris0991 part but not the <no-reply@secondlife.com> part no-reply@secondlife.com is not my verified address.

At first I was inclined to blame gmail. But now I tested with @freedom.nl.invalid. An email adress that is guaranteed to not exist. And you are right. Second Life indeed gives not an error mssage and pretends te mail has been sent.

snapshot email to @drschrisjacobs.nl @freedom.nl @outlook.nl Does arrive, in the spam folder but nevertheless. snapshot email to @gmail.com does not arrive. so I should get a bounce. I did not get a bounce in Second Life.
