I do, and it didn't but I think I may have solved the problem. I had a program called SLURLProxy installed that allows you to set and change your default viewer for SLURLs when the link is clicked on a web page, and it may have been corrupt. I reinstalled that, and so far, the issue has seemed to resolve itself. I'll test it more in depth tomorrow as I'm off to bed in a moment.

Followed the instructions, Deleted folders, uninstalled the program, deleted reg keys, downloaded new viewer and installed it, created desktop shortcut and the same thing happens with the same error box and the shortcut deleting. Even tried running it as administrator.

Just uninstall and reinstall or do I need to delete folders or registry entries for a clean reinstall?

Whenever I create a desktop shortcut to the SL viewer on my Windows 10 destop and start the viewer I get an "Unhandled Exception in Script" error box, and the shortcut deletes itself. The viewer then starts and functions normally, but when I exit, the shortcut I created is gone from my desktop. This doesn't happen when I start the viewer from the start button, only when I create and use a desktop shortcut. Any ideas? Here's a print screen of the error message:
