1. yes, I've been doing texturing, I just wanted to try actually altering the meshes. I can see it's complicated but I'm not sure where to start learning the basic knowledge.
2. The legs are sucked super thin. Sorry, I don't even know what is meant by positive X, etc. or how to apply rotations. Would this be easier with a different program?
3. This is the answer I found on another forum, but it doesn't make sense to me. Hey man! i had that issue too, it’s because you need the rig to be rotated, let me show you: Check out the rotation of the armature, for some reason when you do your own armature you need X and Z to be 90 degrees rotated before export which is facing up positive Z and using X as lateral axis as if the armature were lying on it’s back on the ground. What i did to fix that is position the armature lying down apply the rotation with Ctrl-A and then move back up to the normal position facing positive X and pointing up to positive Z, using Y as lateral axis. then, without applying the rotation, export the dae, that should do the trick.
4. I bought the clothing mesh on the marketplace, and was directed where to download the DAE files. When I import the files, they seem to be linked to some kind of skeleton (I'm using the Maitreya version), as the frame is visible when I import the mesh into Blender. When I try to export it and import it into SL, it comes out very weirdly shaped. I'm not sure I understand why if it's so important to know what add-ons the creator used why wouldn't the creator provide that information?
5. Ok, I'm a beginner. All I'm trying to do is make a slight alteration to a piece of mesh clothing I bought in sl, and import it back into sl. I import the clothing into Blender, make the change, export it, then import it into SL. When I do that the mesh comes out all deformed. I'm getting a message saying that the mesh isn't in the standard x forward orientation. what does that mean and how do I fix it? I'm lost.
