  1. Totally relevant, since it appears that Linden Labs has always offered two types of accounts and Premium accounts you get an increased group count and the person who made the inquiry asked "How". Also, up until June 24th of 2019 the number of groups you could join in a Premium account was 60 as stated in this announcement. Although, logically if second life never had an offering of a Premium account then yes your statement would be accurate, but that not the case here. Glad you mentioned the thread is old, but people will still take the information as law. Well moving forwarded you can increase the number of groups by making a purchase to upgrade your Basic Account to Premium which offers an increased number of groups. https://secondlife.com/premium/
  2. The answer to your question is yes and depends on what type of account. Second Life Free accounts have current limit of only being able to join 42 groups in-world. Second Life Premium accounts have a can enjoy being able to join 70 groups in-world, which is one of the benefits of this type of membership. https://secondlife.com/premium/
  3. Actually, if you read my original post. TMP was used as an example and not as a topic subject. The issue was and still is "Weight Painting", and the affects when it's not done properly, and holes which are not fixable are the result.
  4. That may or may not be true, from what I understand Legacy is just making the mesh body and does not provide any clothing. In addition, I have not seen any evidence of TMP making any clothing either but feel free to correct me with provided evidence if I'm mistaken. However, the main focus is that someone posted they see holes in the clothing and thus far from what I've seen it's the freelancer designers that are providing it and not Legacy. Lets stay on focus here, and on topic.
  5. Greetings, The answer is something that you will not be able to implement. In short. Proper Weight Painting on the designers/developers part eliminates this issue. Holes, lack of garment movement, and skinthrough, are all symptoms of one of the following. 1. The garment was not properly weight painted using Avastar, or other 3d Development application. 2. The garment was weight painted on a model other than the intended body to be used on. ie.. you weight painted on TMP but then packaged for Legacy. Since TMP has not been updated since they closed their store which was some time ago from what I read. The result is holes, and skin through the clothing. I'm not sure why someone stated "Interesting Advertisement", since this is obviously a problem. However, they did mention something worthwhile, in stating "Always try the demos", and if you can alpha them out, then by all means go for it. If you can't then don't buy.
  6. Looks like this needs to be updated for the current times. Question: Can you change your username? Answer: Yes, but only Premium accounts can. Basic account cannot change their name. See: https://lindenlab.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/31000155068-changing-your-username-faq/#Section_9 If your account is a Premium account you log into second life, then click on Home. From the home page click on account which is on the side menu. When the tree opens close "Change Name". One the change name page you will have a button. Also, the process is not free. There is a fee for changing your name even if you have a Premium account.
