Incidentally, I can't really do much on SL for now, and guess it will be due to the extra amount of people online at home due to the Covid-19 lockdown restrictions here in ''UK'' as i am always just a puff of smoke for now (I know, it is not recommended to use an android phone tethered to PC, nor wifi, but it has not been an issue until the latest lockdown restrictions kicked in. So will expect that to improve once the restrictions relax and peolle get out and about and leave me alone to stay indoors online! lol!

I haven't used the stock Linden Lab viewer for a long time, but if you're using that one there's a 'Received Items' section at the bottom of the inventory tab which you need to click to open and access your Marketplace purchases:

 

I use both SL stock viewer, and swap to Singularity. And yes, indeed, i am aware to look in ''reciaved'' folder.
I still have not recaived much of those orders as yet either. In fact, just off the top of my head, although don't expect this to be accurate, it feels as though less than half of what i paid for actually has ever shown up in the pst four months, and I am coming to the coclusion, that with this issue, and other tech issues too, that SL hasn't really come up to date with any other online game/VR/virtual world experience, and i am hearing stuff which takes me back to the late 90's and early 2000's, if i am honest.

Also, i just had a peek at my marketplace profile info, and looked at my Linden Credit/balance. And Last time, a few days ago it was strangely down to around $L200, and now down to ZERO!  I HAVE NOT BOUGHT ANYTHING for a few weeks, and certainly bought nothing while that cash was disappearing!

And with regards the eyeballs, i think you've missed my point.
The original stock eyeballs won't dissapear, when i use my cutom skin BOM eyes, so the avatar always looks very odd. And does not seem to be any form of alpha in the pack the skin kit came with to help. I had no issue with either sets of eyes being 3-D as i thought, correctly, that was the whole point of any of eyeballs.

I thought this worth ''bumping up'' since it is an ongoing issue, and with the two excellent suggestions, and with so many folk stuck at home due to Covid-19 lockdown, it's bound to be needed info i guess.
However, Wifi not recommended? That counts out most internet users then. And seems too much very old-school internet too. So many other online complicated services and entertainments can cope with wifi, and even phone tethering, that it is a little odd SL cannot yet cope with modern online life in that respect. Although my technical depth of knowledge, though good, is not so deep.

I myself have, till recently been very successful in using an adroid phone tethered to my PC with SL running beautifully, albiet a little slow, but satisfactorily.
And, possibly due to here in UK so many people stuck at home due to lockdown regulations for the virus, and the effect this is most likely to have on bandwidths alloted to each person online, it would appear that this is the cause of my current issue with being a continuous puff of smoke, making SL unusable for now. But luckily i understand why, and that there isn't much anyone could do about that untill there is a newer broader bandwidth and speed in the future to cope.

Well, after returning to use my avatar from around 5yr break, i can honestly say i've started tiring really quickly.

I'm spending more time struggling with glitches, crippling lag, poor frame rates, movement controls which just go berzerk too often, clothing and bodies/shapesfaces that need an encyclopedia, and a market that cannot tell if a seller is even a member any more yet takes the RL cash anyhow, and bought items, the majority which never show up.

On the whole, after a few months trying really hard to remain positive etc, I'm finding the user experience pretty hellish, and a whole load of hassle.

Guess, tbh, I'll just give up again. And with the lack of any genuine good user-experience seeming to have been much attempted that I can notice since around 2008/9, it's making me feel I'm hardly likely to login in, say, another 5 to 10 yrs to check up.

 - You can wear a different pair of system eyes, which  replaces the ones currently worn, or

 - you can hide them with an eyes alpha and wear mesh eyes, or

- if your mesh eyes that came with your head are BOM-enabled, you can turn on BOM for the mesh eyes and the texture from your system eyes will show on the mesh eyes (in this situation, you do not wear an alpha).   With my mesh head, I think I had to enable BOM for the head, and then, also, enable BOM for the eyes as an additional step.  It may vary depending on which brand of mesh head you're using.

They are visible in inventory/worn. But any potentially useful menu cmd is greyed-out/inactive. And double-click doing nothing.

 

Incidentally, many, or a majority of items i purchsed just under a month ago have yet to appear in my recieved folder, being the initial body of my topic.

Still not getting answers or solutions. And clicking "redeliver'' hasn't helped.

OH, hold on! They (in inventory) have a little pair of eye icans, not a cube. But when i zoom into the head i see they are 3-D.

And right click does not offer detach. Nor does double-click detatch them. And slightly above them are the eyes which from the BoM set i am otherwise wearing.

Am at a loss.

However. It is a set of mesh/spherical eyes that is the problem. No apparent means of detatching.

Right-click menu on object/cube shows no detatch link. And i can't find any other route to achieve this.

I will have a look-see within the skin/head folders for relevant alphas and muck around.

AHHHH! Turns out i need to look for a ''head''!
So apparently mine above was built for a ''baby face'' head. SO I'm guessing that's where i might find further customizing things?

and, yes, it also has ''(Genus)'' at end of item ititle.
so? What might this mean?
So, i open box, inside is body shape, eyebrow on/off shapes, and the one that gives me the HUD
SO, with it saying Genus? |What will that mean for actually applying? And what other items/depenencies/etc are needed to complete an appearance of a 'skin' in this way?
We are told the different terms, and what they mean in the link to explain  them. But that's really as far as it goes. Pamplet level, rather than actual tutotial.
But was still helpful in helping visualise the concepts. Just not at telling us what to actually do so far as i could see.
So will have to look for further details. But, with the hassles getting stuff in general into my inventory, and the real life money wasted on that. I dunno if it's worth it.
But any links to a totorial that'll help me apply the skin '':N: Skin Charlote - Vanilla (Genus)''  which has a HUD inside which is meant to deal with two eybrow settings.
The box it came in contains:

:N: Shape Body Charlote (Genus)

:N: Shape Eyebrow - Charlote (Genus)

:N:  Skin Charlote Vanilla (Genus)    (with no modify no transfer etc)

So how to make ''Charlote'' appear?

And probably worth mentioning that as of typing this up, i am wearing the shape, eyebrow shape, and ''skin'', with the HUD for the two eyebrow settings showing.
Yet, only seeing last skin applied before current effort. Also, when i use the '':N: Shape Eyebrow, the bald wig/alpha detatches, and the original ''hair'' stuff from the underlying system avitar. And it's sticking up through the custom hair added by myself from a decent purchase.
But absolutely no idea how to make it all work.

When you pay at checkout, LL will purchase $L200 for you, using your payment method.  They will ALSO assess a $1.49 USD transaction fee, which they charge you every time you buy $L.  $1.49 is worth about $L298.  So your $L200 dress just cost you $L498! Not to mention any currency conversion fees your credit card company charges you.

Yes I'd noticed various styles of how you are presented with 'skins'.
And yes, I'd figured it was ''HUD''...
And, since all the ''HUD'' does is appear itself,... and here it comes....
HOW do i get it to do that thing you say there? What am  I missing when i click ''add'' so that little settings rectangle comes up, but nothing seems to happen beyond that thing loading.
Nothing else. No apparance of skin, how it is meant to be done... SO what is the process for making this happen?
And if it won't happen, what can be the reasons?


Secondly, Paying in 'real' money is so precarious? SO every time, i click ''redeliver'', is THAT counted as USD$1.49?
So fgar it has been an awful and buggy experience, so i doubt i will bother to use marketplace for anything more than the odd bored-day freedbie search.

Thirdly:
Well, that's a good many days since 9 Dec, and nothing, including ''redeliver'' requests to check it out, has been delivered since then, and I \m sure a few items since then too.
And as yet, nothing from the seller, or creator (sktechy info. So unclear what is what there. Their name also, i now notice, changes very regularly)

Those items... well, at least SOME of them came through.
However, since 9 Dec 2020, all items have stopped coming through. Nothing i try seems to work. very difficult to contact seller/creators who have no obvious means of inboxing or otherwise asking for asistance.
redelivery button gets me an email notification, but no items yet appearing. And that's quite a little bit of GBP that's been spent already, and very very little to show for it at all.

I must say, having been a member since around 2009(?) i hadn't ever used real life money to buy in marketplace.
And having begun to do so recently... it's a NIGHTMARE!
One item has what appears to be a 'HUD' but is titled 'skin', but no skin appears, only a flat image card which might be settings for with/without eyebrows.
But never seen that skin yet.
HOWEVER, my main issue are a LOT of items i have bought since 9 Dec 2020. In fact all items i have bought since 9 Dec 2020 have not been showing in my inventory.
They show as ''delievered''.. but i have yet to see.
Tried 'redeliver'' link on a few to see what happens.
I get email notifications.
But..

You guessed it! None have shown up yet!
WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?
