    Each week, the Second Life Destination Guide editorial team reviews dozens of new locations and events worth exploring. With all those beautiful destinations to check out, we thought we’d highlight a few of the entries that stood out to the editorial team.
    This week we decided to highlight some of the most photogenic locations in Second Life. Some are new and some have been around for a while; all can be found in the Photogenic Spots category on the Destination guide!
    Breath of Nature
    Breath of Nature is a countryside themed region with many lovely spots to explore, relax after a long day, or dance. For the photographers there are many posing opportunities. All are welcome, and don't forget to bring your camera with you!

    Welcome to Isle of Pandasia, a mystic region with a Zen atmosphere for people who love nature. Visit and relax your mind, go on a boat ride, and take lots of photos. The region is open to explore and even has a little beach area. Enjoy your visit!

    Burrow Coffee & Whiskey Co.
    Cozy, eclectic, and unique coffee shop, whiskey pub, and full scenic woodland region featuring live music, DJs, poetry readings, games, great conversation, and more.

    Alpha Tribe
    A region of several sky levels as well as a ground level. The ground level has different areas such as an amusement park, a gym, an alchemist's work area, and a crazy cat lady parlor. So, it is a place where avatars can relax and play. The 3 sky levels are region wide architectures that are also artistic installations which will hopefully provide good backgrounds for the photographic work of visitors.

    Sommergewitter
    Sommergewitter is a German-language region that's been open since March 2015. It features a summer thunderstorm, as well as endless photographic opportunities.

    Where peaceful waters flow
    Where peaceful waters flow is a wildlife and nature rainforest. Everyone is invited to listen to the sounds of nature.

    Erebos Harbor
    Erebos Harbor is a community designed with the quiet SLifestyle in mind. From the working harbor, the roads wind past warehouses, rail tracks and through a sleepy little town that quickly gives way to muddy tracks and little lanes bordered by rock faces and lush green foliage. There truly is something here for every dreamer.

    Ocho Tango is a land dedicated to tango, with a milonga for dancing and live concerts. It has become a point of reference for all lovers of Tango Argentino.

    Hazardous
    "Dream infinitely, remain fearless, but always seek hazardous adventures." Hazardous is a mysterious and intriguing place with a minimalistic beauty of the U-shaped plateau; the novel means of reaching it from the landing point; and the curving stone steps awaiting discovery as they curl down to the waters below. Take a few photographs, hang out, or just spend some quiet time reflecting. Seek it out.

    The Lighthouse is a support group and meeting place, focused on mental health and wellness. They provide support group meetings on topics including depression, anxiety, and addiction, as well as social activities and meditation sessions. They are a laid-back peer support community where you can connect with like-minded people.

    Circle Mental Health is a Peer Support Group. They are here to give help and support to those suffering from mental health. It's okay to struggle and they, as a community, are there and listening! Join their group for more information. All of their services are free!

    Fearless Nation PTSD Support
    Fearless Nation PTSD Support is an RL 501c3 Nonprofit Organization for people with PTSD, their families, partners, children, and communities. They provide education, support, and advocacy. Since 2009 they've had a virtual online community that spans distance, with a small carbon footprint bringing people together for peer support, education, and advocacy for people with PTSD.

    Transgender Resource Center
    The TRC is a safe place for Transgender people and their allies to join and talk about the issues they face. Weekly Support Groups are available.

    EchoVets.org Band of Brothers non-profit is a new destination for all Veterans. They have current, up-to-date information that benefits YOU the Veteran, and the Veterans' families! Lots to do and see here! Stacy Maracas is a Female Desert Storm Combat Veteran, US Army, and has the knowledge of the systems in place to help Veterans and their family members.     Valentine's Love Train
    On Wednesday, February 14th starting from 12:30pm SLT join Linden Lab employees and Second Life Residents on the Bellisseria Valentine's Love Train! The Moles will be running trolleys down through the Log and Victorian regions of the Bellisseria Railway. The primary departure point is stationed in the Welcome Hub Linden Homes Demo and ends in Clayton Ravine, but Residents can hop on at any point on the rail line as the trolleys go by. The 30-minute ride ends with a teleporter that will take Residents directly to Dunk & Hug a Linden or Mole Event! Learn more at second.life/lovetrain2024

    Second Pride is back for Halloween, and it’s dark, a bit spooky, with lots of fun awaiting your arrival! Share some laughs, and visit the many shops located all around the region while you visit. Who knows, you may even spot a zombie lurking! You never know what surprises await.     16th Haunted Mansion Ride Full Sim Haunt
    Haunted Mansion and Dark Park - longtime SL traditions merge into one full region super-haunt of thrills, rides, free gifts, hunt, and Nance Clowes guide to the absolute best Haunted Builds of the year. It is an 11th-year tradition! Try your foot at becoming the pumpkin smash champion this year.

    Hauntings
    Moody, ghostly, creepy, and fun, Hauntings is another delightful venue in Old Town. Once a charming and peaceful spot in rural America, when the events began happening, folks moved away. No cars stopped at the motel; the farm lies abandoned. What happened here? What went on in that house? No-one knows. But once a year, the spirits of those who were innocent walk, looking for treats.

    The Official National Football League Alumni (NFLA) organization is holding a weekend-long virtual concert in Second Life!

    Hear great music and raise money for a good cause at the National Football League Alumni weekend music festival on May 30-31 from 1-9 p.m. SLT at Key West Island. This official event features many of the top musicians in SL and raises funds for the Alumni COVID-19 Relief Fund.

    Summer Sailstice in Second Life
    Summer Sailstice is the annual celebration of sailing that happens every year on the Saturday closest to the summer solstice; this is their 20th year! The idea is simply to get as many people around the world out on a sailboat on the same day. In 2020, because of the pandemic, it is safer to move to virtual sailing! Summer Sailstice in SL is officially registered as a Summer Sailstice Event. If you’re already a sailor in SL, visit this location to find out how you can register and join the inworld group to participate in this event on June 20th.     The Kingdom of Corthe is a medieval fantasy roleplay region. Come visit the beautiful lands and meet the people. Seek out the lore that brought them to this new land after escaping an evil queen.     “A Thousand Words” is a collaborative Second Life photography project dedicated to expression through creative imagery. For their inaugural exhibition, Second Life Residents created photographs inspired by renowned poet Pablo Neruda’s “Twenty Love Poems and a Song of Despair.” Enable advanced lighting, shared environment, and media to fully appreciate this immersive experience.     15th Annual SL Veterans Tribute
    The 15th Annual SL Veterans Tribute is a way to honor and pay tribute to Veterans around the world. You can walk around the sights and memorials, add the names of your loved ones to the wall, or sit in a reflective spot and relax. The goal of the Tribute is to provide a non-political, content-filled destination in Second Life where Residents can visit to provide remembrance and honor to those who have served in the Armed Services. This memorial will be open until November 15th.

    This property was inspired by the love for Blake Sea and sailing. This marina offers beautiful cliff home rentals as well as boat slips, with a very close distance to Blake Sea. Beautiful landscaping sets the mood for this location. An amazing waterfall and peaceful stream are surrounded by greenery. All are welcome to make this their home!

    Saddles Art Gallery and Ballroom is open 24/7 with a romantic atmosphere. Art Gallery incorporates classical, period, modern, contemporary, impressionist, renaissance, and cultural art. It features monthly openings and art displays that are open to explore. The ballroom is also available for an artist to introduce their work in a formal setting.

    Ristorante Kandela
    Ristorante Kandela is a free and self service restaurant on the Kultivate region! This venue is decorated in an Italian rustic style and features crooner music and couples intan so you can enjoy a romantic date out with your loved one.
