    toksik

This dress is Toksik. I'll post a couple of other sellers when I'm next in world. Thank you!

It is a beautiful dress, and I wish there were more like this around.  Does it move like tinfoil?  The skirt is quite wide, so it shouldn't.  I wouldn't want to wear something like that in RL, imagine using the restroom!

it rilly is the fact i was able to take a candid using gyazo and not have to chase my avatar around the screen  good stuff.

Try right-clicking then edit an attachment on your avatar (like jewelry or hair) should freeze it, then you won't have to chase your avatar.  Freezing a motion capture AO gives better results than posing, in my experience.

Which is more realistic, the picture above or this:

Few people in Second Life go for realism.  Perhaps you should go for beauty instead of realism.  That way, you would be OK with yourself if you change all the time.  If you want others to see what you see, then compose yourself using the shared environment.  If you like dark skin, then you definitely need a facelight.

Here are comparison snapshots - same hair on Genus head and Akeruka head. Any tweaking of Akeruka head shape will not make the hair clipping through the ear go away. Same thing happens with any other rigged hairs what I have tried so far. So I wonder are there any similar type rigged hairs which would work with Akeruka head properly?

I believe you're looking at a design issue, not a flaw but an aesthetic where that hair was made for a different model.  There are a lot of hairs out there of similar style, the trick is to go through each one to find a perfect fit.  Best wishes on that endeavor.

Another possibility is that it is a design flaw, and that's why it's on sale.  I think it's a pretty mesh head.  I went to AK to get that head, but I only had L49 and couldn't afford to join the group.  Sigh.

??? uh, ok? Did you even read what I wrote in the original post, or then reposted? I said I could have gotten closer to the original. Nothing I said indicated that this head isn't flexible. This Genus head is a very flexible mesh head, more so than other brands I have tried except for perhaps the AK. None of them are perfectly flexible.

Then it is a truly wonderful thing that you are satisfied with your purchase.

We've been discussing various bento heads in this thread and another. I've been reading. I bought a LeLutka head not too long ago, and because I whizzed through playing with the demo instead of taking my time, I thought I could tweak it more than I could. It is a very pretty head, but not me... too glam. Too cheekbone-y. I read here/there about the pro/cons of the Genus head, and decided to take the leap. I bought the Classic after spending HOURS with the demo... wasn't going to make that mistake again. SR always was kind of a girl next door type (whatever that means), as opposed to model. She was created in system with a lot of work and there is a RL family resemblance. She started out like my younger, prettier cousin. When I turned SL ten yrs. I went totally new! Nope. Couldn't do that, either.

Well, the Classic allowed me to do an updated system Seicher look. I wasn't going for an exact copy, but if I had I could have gotten even closer. System SR's face was a tad leaner, the nose a bit thinner and less turned up (the current one is closer to "family resemblance" than the original) and the eyes were bigger. But I think I captured the spirit of original SR. She's paler, poor dear, probably Vit. D deficient. The hair is THE SAME as in the 2010 photo! And I forgot how good it was. And it doesn't really add so much to my complexity!!! Not any more than a newer hair, and a lot less than some. I'm going to be wearing it for a while. :)

PS: The Forum was Spot On with their comments pros/cons of the Genus head and HUD.

Quick screenshot (with bad lighting) for comparison sake, with the bottom photo showing the LeLutka I've been wearing.

The mesh head doesn't quite match the system head.

The cloth physics there is good. The transitions between the moves in SFV are as bad as they were in the original. That must be a stylistic decision; it doesn't have to be that bad any more.

It's much easier to have elaborate graphics in a game with only two hero characters always in the foreground. You know what the worst case graphics load is.

SL's big problem with avatar rendering is that avatars are almost always in hero mode, even when they're far away. Avatars do have levels of detail,  but the lower levels are usually awful and the viewer doesn't push them down to lower LODs much. Also, all parts of an avatar are normally at the same LOD, so that elaborate jewelry with filigree and engraving doesn't drop to a lower LOD when you're not looking at it in super close up. If SL could drop 20,000 triangle shoes to 200 triangles at 5 meters range, that would help a lot. Looking forward to progress from Project Arctan in this area.

Yeah, it is about style isn't it?  I wouldn't have watched those videos if it hadn't been for the girls.  It's the same reason why I love to look at other people's avatars: it's an art form.

  8. Has anyone seen those mods on SFV where they fit the girls with new clothes?  The skirts and dresses look awesome and move like real clothes.  If SFV can do it, then there must be a way to make clothes like that in Second Life.  Here's an example of what I'm talking about: Street Fighter V AE Karin vs Poison PC Mod.  Mesh clothes in SL move like tinfoil, while flexi is broken up into segments which make them look unreal.  Clothes here would look so much better if the cloth physics were more accurate.  I'm sure designers and merchants would benefit as well.

Okay so IF its an object or something along those lines then.......

    1. Detach everything....put things back on....only the stuff you specifically want to wear such as your clothes, ao etc

    2. Go into the experiences menu and remove yourself from any experiences you do not recognise

    3. Turn off RLV

    Blah blah blah

However, I suspect you may have been teleported home by either the land owner or an admin. You say "x-rated sim" BUT thats only right at this moment. Sims change all the time with places opening up, closing down, moving etc etc. Whilst its an x-rated sim now it could have easily been "The Humorous Adventures of Huggy Bunny and her fabulous friends role-play sim" at one point and if you perhaps visited the land at some point while it was under different ownership and set your home to there OR was the first place you teleported to after creating your account then that would explain why your teleport defaulted to that location. If you have deduced that your not wearing anything, your not in any experiences, its not an rlv issue....then I really wouldn't panic about it.

In fact do this....i'm legit curious. Are you on Firestorm?. If so go to the world menu at the top, look about halfway down for "Teleport Home". Click that and see where you end up. If its not the place you were teleported to then check the other things listed above and that others have mentioned. If thats all clear then forget about it and put it down to a one off.

I did all that.  Teleport Home took me to a safe hub.

it's not that common to find someone who has managed to turn on RLV in a TPV AND wear an RLV device AND assign a 'master' without knowing they did it (plus the subject line of this thread strongly hints that it's not RLV

Maybe I DID put on an object that was RLV in ignorance.  Many noobs do that, but I'm not a noob.  Since I was sitting on a pose stand at the time working on my appearance and using apparel objects that I use regularly, I am compelled to insist that the situation is not RLV.  I did not receive any prompts while putting on objects.

  11. 3 hours ago, Nova Convair said:

A sripted Object can't teleport you that way. It only can do that if you are the owner of that object and only if you are not sitting - unsit before teleport is required.

Only if you have entered an experience and the experience is enabled on that parcel a scripted teleport is possible by an object that is part of that experience.

If you wear an object (NOT temp attached) then it can teleport you too.

The 3rd possibility is to use RLV.

    1.  I was sitting on a pose stand.

    2.  There are no experiences available at the sim I was teleported from.

    3.  The only objects I was wearing wear apparel objects (I was working on my appearance at the time).  I use them all the time.

    4.  I did not pick up any objects prior to the teleport.
