    it's really kind of semantics at that point. someone who is buying something and isn't getting it. instead, put on some type of waiting list, knowing (or not knowing, in my case) that the rate fluctuates, the estimated time is actually far more incorrect with higher rates,  and simply that they end up paying more in the end for what was meant to be paying less.

    i was not purchasing this to have a surprise in the next weeks, this was something i expected within two days. there was no indication, on the page or with the advanced market option enabled, that it would change to 3 days (but not actually be 3 days)

    unfortunately, i don't really have the money to keep doing that. i've done this twice before, one the day before this current order because of my own ignorance. i won't be happier canceling it, because of the currency conversions in my own country and the fees attached to the usd tillia balance it'll end up putting the money into.

     It seems unlikely that your order of 274 would be filled quickly, but time will tell.

    so i was ... screwed out of a purchase? i assumed the estimated time was actually approx 13 hours. regardless of knowing or not that it can change drastically even after purchasing, that sounds really simple to overlook, at least for me.

    at or after 3 days as an estimate, people are saying they've waited weeks,  months, or have waited so long they would consider it indefinite. 

    i'm trying to understand if its even worth waiting on, or to accept it and cancel the order. thanks for the advice, anyway.

    Is this just the name of the game or something? About a day and a half ago I placed a limit buy order at 274 per 1L and the estimated time was 13 hours. now, with the advice of the forums, it was a good idea to place orders less than 24 hours or estimated 3 days, and your order would quickly go through (instead of basically being delayed indefinitely)

     

    though my order (at the time of placing the transaction) was estimated to be 13 hours approximately, it has now since changed to 3 days (entering the same amount and rate in a new order showed this). 

     

    really? with the current inflation going on over the summer in canada, i can't really afford buckets of lindens, so i'm kind of exhausted from finding the sweet spot. even then, it can just change whenever? should i go ahead and cancel the order? this has already happened before, but i had exaggerated the rate. 274 was a better alternative. additionally, the max quantity remaining for 274/1 is L$92,423 as of writing, with 275 being nearly 1 million, with the same estimated time of 3 days approx.

    what's the deal, exactly? what am i not noticing?

    Hello everyone,

    Firstly, I apologise if this is not the correct area to post, but I am now a little desperate for someone to come forward with the right information. I have messaged a handful of users for leads on where to find this particular tattoo; an LM, shop name, creator, or anything else that might help find it. I have gotten nowhere this way. I have had lots of kind and generous residents in the Nanite Systems group however point me in directions of stores with similar products, but nothing is as interesting to me as this one tattoo. It looks to be a Lelutka EVO X bom tattoo, only guessing from the head meshes alone. It also seems to be a recent item, as much of the advertisements and users who I sometimes see wearing it (who, to my dismay, do not reply to my plea) have been from this year and sooner. 

    If you have any other locations except for: the Contraption Sci-Fi store, nor the CURELESS store, please let me know. They are not the same products as this, and I have looked over the MP thrice for clues. Please help!

    i think it might be only a little offensive and not worded the best for this... you know? 

    a lot of users on the forums are very very comfortable with their avatars even if they have not changed a lot recently to accommodate bento or things like that.

     

    i think there is more of a majority of high quality avatars than there aren't currently. i must be actively seeking infohubs or older regions where older users tend to visit frequently instead of the more fashionable busy events that do not interest them. you may try places such as Exhale, or Peak, but when it comes to finding a group of only 'high quality avatars', that is not possible. the whole grid is comprised of so many types of people.

    what is high quality to you may not be to someone else, even if they have a catwa head or a slink body, compared to an ebody or a new lelutka evo x head. i think it is just important to find some people who are like you and share your common ground and be friends with those people. you will enjoy your time a lot more here instead of trying to find places to idle or afk

    System Avatar makeup within skin-edit tab: am I doing something wrong?

    Pretty much everyone else uses a pre-made skin that is No Modify. They simply look about ten thousand times better.

    It must seem especially strange. It's true, but there is something about the original look that is sometimes really appealing.

    I do have mesh heads and bodies, but if I'm feeling plain, I might switch to them. 

     

     

    I hope the issue is fixed, however. I surely can't be the only one who does use it time-to-time.

    System Avatar makeup within skin-edit tab: am I doing something wrong?

    I am having a peculiar problem that not many might overlook or care enough to notice, or I might be the only one experiencing this. I don't know. 

     

    For a little while I have been having some problems with the system avatar makeup, specifically the makeup options WITHIN the skin 'edit' tab. When selecting an appropriate opacity for eyeshadow, a colour for liner or blush, everything is looking simply cute. After hitting save, it all seems to bake into a black soup mess and fall apart.

    Is this something that an update has undone? Will it ever be fixed, or should I need to continue with third-party store makeups via tattoo layers?

    Is it viewer-side? Am I doing something wrong?

    Wanted: ASL Animations (BENTO) for Typing

    I do own the letter-by-letter typer, but I just want to immerse myself a little more with a typing animation alongside it. I figure as AOs from Vista have pretty well-made typing animations for their overriders, there must be some way to contact them or any other brand for requests. The issue with that however is cost. I'm only one person, wanting one animation, so if I'm spending equal to an arm and a leg, perhaps I should take responsibility for this and provide it myself... (after learning the basics of course).

    This isn't necessarily a woe-is-me, but it wouldn't be unlikely for an animator to at least give this a shot and maybe make a quick buck. I worry I may have to become a beginner in the bento/animating field myself, though. I don't want to beg haha.

    Wanted: ASL Animations (BENTO) for Typing

    Hi there,

     

    I have done several deep dives in the Marketplace, through countless Bento AOs across the grid, and have not found anything in regards to ASL or its potential with bento. Prior to bento, ASL in SL was incredibly difficult, with a few creators only being able to utilise the system hand positions via the animation uploader.

     

    I'm looking, or am requesting some information, on who to look for or what to look for in regards to this. I would love to have a better fitting character that is neither using silly gestures when typing, or gesturing as if speaking in conversation. Instead, as my bento head talk animations can be turned off, an ASL typing animation would be perfect for me. The typing animation may be as simple as signing a general phrase (e.g. "How are you?" or "I love you!") with a continuous loop and a priority of about 3 or 4. Ideally also being much more expressive than just an extension of the arms with little to no movement elsewhere (like the popular ASL bento typer on the marketplace). 

     

    If anyone could please help me, if they know someone who might be able to do this and are accepting requests (with payment of course) please let me know.

    Friendly Greetings!

    I have been on SL for quite a while now. Unfortunately, I was one of the few who left SL completely during the ancient TSL merge. I'm not that old, but enough so that I think I'm the only active Somerset. Anyway, I have returned! I haven't gotten my complimentary margarita yet, but while getting back on my virtual toes, I would love to make good friends with many of you and sort of re-do my experience and journey. Besides, I hope some of you can agree when I say 2009 was a weird year for us all. :D
