  2. I assume you're referring to the Talisman/Abraham by Tellaq. I bought the avatar when it first came out and have some experience with it.

Unfortunately, I believe that Tellaq was hoping that developers created mesh clothing and clothing appliers for the avatar which never happened. This may be due to the fact that I've heard the developer tools are hard to use. This body has been out for awhile now and there still hasn't been anything made for it so I think it might be a safe bet that you're out of luck unless you can figure out the developer tools.

Though this doesn't apply to clothing appliers, the only way I got this avi to fit into any mesh clothing was by shrinking it down to a muscle mass below 20. And after that it fit most things. Though it defeats the purpose of having a large avi.

  3. As others have suggested fitmesh is your best bet for the Adam Mesh Body. However, I didn't have much problem using standard mesh with this body if you use the alpha HUD. Also, try Absolut Creations in-world' store for some of their clothing items made specifically for the Adam mesh body.

  4. So you want to go all mesh? In regards to female avatars (which I assume is waht you want to wear) you have a lot of very good options. Most mesh avatars include hands and feet as well. You can look at http://meshbodyaddicts.com/ for a list of mesh bodies and heads. You wear them the same way you add furry parts.

Most people say TheMeshProject is overpriced junk, but I have a friend who swears by it and I do like the way the body looks personally. I would try a bunch of demos from the list on that website listed above.

If you want someone to give you opinions on how you look or how the demos look, though someone may come around from this forum and help, you should hang out at a few clubs or events and try to find a shopping buddy. You may also send me a ntoecard in-world and I can try my best, though another girl might give you a better opinion than I can when it comes to women's fashion.

  5. As everyone suggested a female avatar cannot get pregnant just by hopping onto poseballs. There really isn't any difference in male or female avatars other than shape. If your partner wishes to get pregnant, there are HUDS like "Mama Allpa", or products from Suzy's Stuff and Nonsense, just to name a few.  There are many different hings available on SL for avatars who wish to roleplay being pregnant.  Even male avatars can get pregnant on SL.

As for the second one: it's likely just some kind of security system like everyone has suggested.

  6. Sorry I misunderstood and thought that whispering didnt work when you click Shift+Enter.

Do as the above user suggesed and make sure the boxes are checked in preferences.

Make sure you are hitting shift+enter when you're finished with your sentence and in local chat.

If this doesn't help then I have no idea. Maybe something is wrong wtih the viewer.

  7. I don't know why phototools would make zooming into an avatar slower. But if you' insisit that is the problem, just look up at World and under that you should see Sun Posiiton, then click Midday.

World > Sun Posiiton > Midday

    Or

    Ctrl+Shift+Y

Now I do only use Firestorm, but SLViewer and Firestorm are very alike so this might work for you. Now if you use Singualrity, then I honestly have no idea.

  8. You bought poses for an AO? Usually AOs will have a notecard that tells you how to add poses. Rez the AO onto the ground, and drag the poses into the content folder. Then you have to add the pose in the correct spot in the notecard within the content folder using the exact name of the pose. it is time consuming.

If you mean you just bought poes, you should just be able to select "play in world" or "play local".

If you bought an AO, you should just be able to add it and it should work.

  9. Since the other poster answered your primary question, i will answer your secondary question.

You can tell the difference between a mesh avatar and a standard system avatar by looks. Mesh avatars typically have more detail and the angles of a mesh avatar aren't as blocky as a standard avatar. Also, when they rez, they often rez in parts, where as a standard avatar will come in quickly and usually as one piece unless the avatar is wearing an alpha which hides certain body parts.

  10. Most mesh heads aren't fit mesh so they won't change shape from your sliders. The only thing I tend to change on a mesh head is the bug eye slider to bring non-mesh eyes to the right place. But you can just use mesh eyes and move them to the right place.

If you have a head that really does completely change from sliders, then I guess you'll have to bite the bullet and change the head sliders some.

  11. It'd probably do best to make this on a program like Blender or even Sculptris. However, if you make it on Sculptris, it'd have to be reuploaded into Blender to make it low poly and to rig it. This is only if you want to make a mesh avatar. There's not a lot of tutorials about making things for Second Life on YouTube, however it is quite similar to making things for any other game. So just search things like "how to head on Blender." stuff like that. There may even be 3D artists who make furry characters that you can learn tips from.

Now if you wish to make the avatar out of sculpts then honestly I have no idea how it's done.

You can probably also find full perm mesh parts on MP or Builder's Brewery so that perhaps you don't have to do any actual modeling on Blender.

You may also be able to mix and match things already made and found on MP or in-world.

I hope you find what you're looking for.

  12. Sounds like overheating to me. There are some programs out there like Coretemp that will monitor the computer's tempature. If you're using a laptop, get an external laptop fan, if it's a desktop, you can probably use a box fan on it.

I had a computer that had broken internal fans and still managed to use SL by just using external fans, so it's possible to get SL to run on the computer if overheating is the problem.

  13. Getting a mesh body is entirely up to you, however since I went mesh, I refuse to go back to the standard system avatar.

In terms of best relies on preferences. I consider the Niramyth Aesthetic to be the best, but it's not for everyone. I hear a lot of talk about the Signature mesh body and many are happy with it. The Adam is also quite good. Try demos and see which one is to your liking. The top mesh bodies are the Aesthetic by Niramyth, Slink, Adam, Signature, and the TMP by the Shops!

These bodies may not fit the clothes you just bought however.

You only need feet and hands on the Slink to my knowledge. The other mesh bodies come with hands and feet.

As for blending your head, you may have to get a new skin but most bodies will come with instructions on how to blend the body with your head.

  14. Has this always happened to these certain pieces of jewelry? If not, how long has this been happening? You cannot detach it at all? Can you at least edit it and move it into place?

This could also be your internet connection or just a bug on SL.

  15. In regards to settings, there really isn't a magic setting. You of course want your pictures to be set in ultra. You want your shadow work to be very complex and cover both objects and avatars. I usually turn transparent water off if water is not seen from my pictures to help with lag.

Windlight is the most important tool. Windlight can be found under World > Photo and Video > phototools. What windlight you will use will depend on the type of photo you are trying to take. Shadow work is very important for bringing photos to life and it is important to play with shadows and windlight settings to achieve the perfect look.

You do not have to edit your photos if you don't want to, but many people do. Most people use Adobe Photoshop, GIMP, and Photoscape for this. There are a few tutorials on YouTube that can teach you exactly how to edit a photo.
