In the USA it is widely recognized as the "Pride Flag" or "Gay Pride Flag" or "Diversity Flag". My grandmother tells me, in the 70s it was called a "Freak Flag" . Probably other things as well. My little brother just informed me that it was called a "Rainbow Flag"!. LOL. He is six. Whatever you want to call it, this photo is beautiful and the flag is in very good hands.
