Hello! My name is Shimadea Soup, an experienced fashion blogger who has recently decided to start a blog again. Being that my time on SL is very limited due to the long RL hours I work, I am looking for some good, experienced people to hire in order to keep this blog active in my absence. Our goal will be to choose the hottest events, hunts, and gifts from around the grid and report on them to the fashion forward of SL. Current Positions: Shopper/Model: We are currently seeking one female, and one male avi of HIGH quality to go to the events chosen by the Coordinator and shop them, creating a unique outfit at each. Must have experience in styling, creating style cards, and a unique eye for fashion. Must be able to write a small blurb describing your shopping experience and what you're wearing. This position will be given a 1500L bi-weekly stipend towards their shopping, but is also expected to be able to afford to spend on their own to complete outfits. All photoshoots (which are rather pricey) will be paid for by myself. Promoter: We are looking for someone with extensive experience in promotion. Who has access to several social media networks, as well as many friends to spread the word about this blog. Someone who will be able to create hype, get us involved with the best spots to be seen, and simply get us out there. Salary will be discussed at interview, and dependent on actual results. -[District]- is not a club. We are a weekly rave event held every Saturday between 8am - 8pm SLT. Every fourth Saturday of the month we host an inter-club DJ battle which is sure to be a huge event. We are a brand new concept to the SL world, as most are trying to open a 24/7 club, we are going to be creating a weekly destination instead. Something to build excitement amongst lovers of electronic music, to look forward to each Saturday. DJs will be needed for the weekly non-DJ battle events, and MCs will be needed once a month for the DJ Battle. Management will be needed for both events. Job requirements to follow. Management: Must have a social personality and be able to handle tasking events, making sure they are scheduled and move fluidly. Must be able to effectively communicate with the team. Must have PR skills and know about live mixed electronic dance music. Must have excellent PR skills and the ability to know enough about live mixed music in order to find DJs from several different clubs to fill our events. Pay is by salary, and on a weekly basis to be discussed in your interview based on your availability.MCs: Masters of Ceremony will be needed once a week for the DJ Battle event for 4 hours. Their job is to get people pumped up about each DJ coming up. Must have a good voice personality as between DJs voice in the club will be turned on in order to announce the next talent. Must be extremely social and able to keep the crowd pumped through the event. Pay will be a salary paid for each event to be discussed in your interview.DJs: DJs are needed for the weekly underground rave event. Not the DJ battle, as those DJs are selected from various clubs, though you may be able to participate if you choose to represent a club you work for. MUST be a live mixing DJ who does not use SAM Broadcaster, working in any style of electronic dance music as long as it is mixed live. You will keep 100% of your tips. -[District]- Not a Club. A Life. Hello! District is a one a month inter-club DJ battle held every 4th Saturday that invites clubs to submit a live mix DJ to compete representing their venue. We are seeking enthusiastic, driven, and team-oriented persons to come join our staff. Requirements for all positions: Must have a working knowledge of what it means to be a live mix DJ.Must work well with a team, be on time, and well organized. Positions: Voice MC: We are looking for a Master of Ceremony who is enthusiastic on mic and able to pump up a crowd between competing DJs. We'd like someone with an (and I hate using this word) urban twist to their style as this is an outlaw rave venue. Someone who has a working knowledge of live mixing. Someone who can closely follow an itinerary. This position pays 500L for 4 hours of work plus whatever tips earned. PR Persons: We are seeking motivated go-getters to get in contact with club owners to see if they'd be interested in submitting one of their live-mix DJs to the competition to represent their club. Must be a people person and professional, but also friendly and amiable. This position pays 300L per club that submits a DJ entry. Judges: We are seeking musically oriented people knowledged in the art of live mixing who will be able to put their full focus into the skill of the DJ involved without being biased by musical genre or preference. That's right this is not an actual club, but an open stage and we are looking for DJs who want to bring their following by a warehouse/outlaw rave themed venue to throw parties for their friends. I will simply post here what it says on our "application" followed by a landmark so you can come see just how amazing this little venue looks. :) Hello and welcome to -[District]-! This may very well be the easiest application you've filled out! All you really have to do is read through our requirements/rules, put your name on the NC where it says [Your Name], and send it to Shimadea Soup or Lachlan Blokke to have an audition. - Firstly, we are not a "club" per-se. You are applying for the right to be able to use our venue to spin music and have a party for people whenever you need a stage to do so. There are no schedules and no real management to speak of. This is simply a cool, warehouse rave themed place to entertain and show off your skills. - You MUST be a live mix DJ. We are not saying you must be an AMAZING live mix DJ, because this could be the perfect venue for newly started deck/controller mixers to practice and see what their friends think. :) As long as you make a GOOD attempt and don't sound like an absolute train wreck. :P The only exception to this rule is if you spin industrial music, as with properly set up faders it can sound very good and most songs aren't quite set up for proper mixing as most EDM style music is. - The preferred genres: Industrial, Hardstyle, Hardcore, Hardhouse, Dubstep, Dubstyle, Trance. We cater mainly to rave style musics. A variety of house music is fine, but we prefer no electro. Really though this is all subject to change based on the DJ. This venue is all about the DJ and his/her own music. We are an underground venue so mainstream music styles or songs are NOT allowed. - Minimal to zero mic talking is preferred! We do not want to be known for DJs who talk over the music, BUT if you know how to properly MC your own sets and know WHEN to talk it's always a great crowd pleaser. :) You will have no hosts to advertise, and are not required to tell people to tip the venue, so there is nothing required of in voice over so feel free to simply entertain with your music. :) - We have no DJ board and no club stream! Meaning once you receive your DJ tag, you must know how to change the stream in land settings and add your own! If not, this can easily be explained. If there is no DJ after you, you must return the land stream to one of the saved ones. - We are an adult sim, so this means you can make your party as wild and naked as you want! BUT we simply ask that any sexual activities be kept to designated places only! - Promote our VIP group even if you are bringing your own crowd! We love to have you here and think it's wonderful you are using our venue to flip a party, so keep us in mind as well! In general, my friends would come to me as their sort of knowledge board lol. A Lounge focused on people in the Fashion and Entertainment Industry of SL, but also for anyone in general who wishes to network and enjoy a lounge style ambiance. We are currently planning to have our grand opening in the beginning of April and are currently looking to fill these positions: DJs. (Paid via 100% Tips.)Cocktail Waitresses/Bartenders (Hosts) (Paid via 100% Tips.)SecurityAssistant management. (Paid Position)We will be open 3 days a week, Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday from 5-10pm. Saturday is a strictly Swing/Electro Swing event day. Each set is only an hour long. Dress Code for Staff: Business casual. Stylings should be black, with either a splash of purple or teal to create uniformity while working. Main Genres for DJs: All forms of House and Trance (except Hard), Blues, Jazz, Acid Jazz, Trip Hop, Chillstep, or anything along those lines which have a lounge-style ambiance. Saturdays are our Swing events, so only genres allowed then are Swing and Electro Swing. DJs MUST have their own Stream and know how to patch it into land.
