I had this issue tonight when I was forced to upgrade Firestorm. Installing the 32-bit version of FS and then installing the intel patch worked for me. My cheap integrated intel hd chipset would not update so this was the only option. I have an all-in-one Gateway which otherwise rocks. This is the first issue I have ever had with it. Who knows if next time I am forced to upgrade if the patch will work. Unfortunate because I am not going to buy a new computer just to run SL. This computer is only 2 years old.
