  1. Well I think from what I'm hearing here I think I will at least come back for a while and see what happens. I'm getting the feeling that Sansar is somethign completely different and no replacment is forthcomign so I think I'm comfortable coming back.
  2. Hmm from the looks of things its apparently goign live sometime this year. At least from what I could glean from a google search. I'm not planning on buying property or anything I just don't want to get involved with a community of a game that might not be around in the near long term. Not when there are more stable options. I'm sorry if I sound a bit harsh in saying that its not my intention to put Second Life down, but I put considerable effort in my social life and investing such effort in something that's not gonna last would be a waste of my limited time related resources.
  3. I apologize in advance if this question upsets anyone, but I have been toying with the notion of giving Second Life another go, but I've been reluctant to do so due to the games age. Specifically I can't help, but wonder how much longer Second Life's gonna last before it gets axed (It is afterall almost 13 years old), and replaced by something else. So I guess the question I'm asking is is it worth coming back to? Are there any plans of it being shut down or replaced in the near future or am I just being a worry wart so to speak?
  4. Ah okay thanks. That makes things a lot easier
  5. (Apologies in advance if this is not where I should put this. I wasn't sure where to address this question) So I joined Second Life earlier this year, but then stuff happened and I lost interest in playing it. Now I feel like starting up with it again, but I don't really feel like coming back with my original character and profile. So I was wondering its possible to delete my current one and start from scratch?
  6. Thanks for the advice guys. Anyway just wanted to let you know I've gotten the inventory figured out now so I thank you for your help. Anyway I see now that I need to rethink how I've been approaching this game. I'll try to keep in mind that I'm dealig with something quite unique here.
  7. And that's the reason I don't like it gets cluttered way to easily and I kinda wish it was like some RPG's where stuff is auto sorted or there's an option to auto sort. Sorry I'm a bit **bleep** when it comes to inventories and clutter drives me bananas
  8. Well maybe I am being a bit overdramatic I just can't seem to figure out certain things about the inventory. For one thing this library folder what is that for and why can't a move stuff in there?
  9. The issue is that file manager system here doesn't work its non intuitive the folders are in strange places, you can't rename the main ones, and move stuff around is a chore since it won't let me move stuff where I want to and the copy paste doesn't seem to work. All in all I fine it to be a very confusing and cumbersome system and one of the worst inventory systems I've seen in any game.
  10. I recently started Second Life and I am enjoying myself in it, but I'm not particularly crazy about the default viewer. I've been looking at some alternate one's, but I'm having a hard time comparing them so I thought I'd ask if anyone had any recommendations for one. Specifically I'm looking for one with some these thing for features. So if any of the viewers do some of these things I'll definitly consider using that one -Ability to bind keys -An easier to use inventory system that easier to manage (The default one is a mess in my opinion and confusing. -Ability to chat in first person view -Easier to use free look camera controls (notably ones I can bind to the keyboard rather then keep the menu up. Anyway I appreciate any recommendations anyone can give me thanks
