It seems to be same here. I had Firestorm viewer on for several hours and that was stable. Then I opened SL Viewer, does that work, and it seems that the problem have mostly vanished. 1,5 hours with SL viewer now and it works somewhat similarly as before. I agree with You with this problem, it seems to have solved just by waiting...

Additional ways to try turnaround/research on the problem: 1) SLiteChat - using this small handy program You can login with the smallest bandwidth, when it is only IM-based chat without any graphics. That may make possible to connect with SL friends, or send them messages, even they are not online. Remember to add " resident" after Your official login name, like my one would be "averager resident" 2) I encountered into this problem with SL Viewer, so it may also be the issue. Could one related reason be that it crashes on EVERY single update, that the update have to load from downloads page. That autoupdate thing just have failed every time. It might require uninstall-install-reboot etc. maybe. 3.) Now I give a try for Firestorm and it was able to login fast. I can't yet say, will that stay online. Also SLiteChat worked. Finding best alternative may be worth of research/try, or if these fails, then I head on standalone play. EDIT: When this appeared now to be annoying thing, I may concentrate on solving, if the problem is in SL viewer, so this takes its time to ensure. I concentrate on alternative viewers first, if the stability issue can be avoided with those. If they seem to have stable, then trying again SL viewer and if that still fails with SL related, like logins/lags/etc. then it is much like the time to change the main viewer to some alternative.

Thank You for replying so fast, Chase01! We seem to have exactly similar problem. This makes me to the following predictions for near future days: 1) Much likely these problems will exist, because of the Christmas Holidays. I doubt that there will be much of staff around, so the mentioned problems may exist. 2) If my 1) is guessed right, I may concentrate on own standalone simulation, where I can do much of development even if my own connection would fail. 3) Disadvantage is that I can't review, how my development/research works on SL, for that content, like Avatar-related ones and everything else cannot be run on local computer, so I have to do much of various guesses. Also redo many things, for the SL servers may most likely get down, so I ccan't view my stuff. So, shorlty the holidays may go with the local simulation research. and

Now I have encountered into poor experience with SL viewer. In recent hour rapidly increased login failures, attempts, if get in, soon timeouts, content loads slowly (on 30/10 connection) etc. This renders the usability and experience to near zero. It is difficult to do and create anything. Everything else thanSL works lightning fast. I did not find that there is any server maintenance things? EDIT: (edited ‎12-24-2014 11:10 PM ) Just now tested my own connection at Speedtest.net: Ping: 10ms Download speed: 31.52 Mbps Upload speed:12.82 Mbps EDIT2 : Was able to login for about couple of minutes, then came error: "Darn. You have been logged out of Second Life This region may be experiencing trouble. Please check your connection to the internet" At least moments ago I got good results, so the connection problem cannot be the reason. It have been extremely reliable 24/7 EDIT3: It seems that I have found (more) stable connection with Firestorm. I need to learn to use it efficiently. If this one stays without the mentioned problems and SL viewer not, I may change my main viewer.

This definitely have happened every single time, WITHOUT EXCEPTIONS. I could say the problem just with the same words. Every single time I need to load the Sl Viewer install program separately and install that. Then logging in, but when logoff and login again, I have again to install the SL Viewer...

Thank You for additional options. Ensuring the multiple ways is always a good thing. To every problem uses to be some solution(s) finally. Much appreciated, I will examine that option too. Stability being always priority one, then performance. I have got again some new experience. And the case, which was unexpected surprise, as the computer temperatures are very low, for I have put a priority on that, when I built the system.

So the IM on here and SL Viewer usable IM's are in no way in connection? From the forum or account is not possible to get into SL Viewer-style side?

Much appreciated answer, thank You. I already had to find the Firestorm problem (edited to my first post) AND when was able to get into SL world, immediately posted alternative connection ways. Just only IM's are not enough, for it is awesome thing in its every feature. To get most out of it, I need to examine yet the main computer's graphics card. I will add more information in moments, just now am multitasking with this problem...

I have a premium and seemingly got insane crash and can't enter SL. Or can with older computer, but the Firestorm is not usable in messaging, for it keeps smapping like I sent insane burst of empty messages. What a depressive surprise... :( I have the details in my another post, but then figured this answers-area. I am so down, that my thinking is not clear now. :( So,how to IM to the virtual place IM to reach friends there? Their online status can be seen, but how to IM? EDIT: The problem was in keyboard, when using Firestorm, so it is *not* guilty. I continue to solve the main computer problem, but still the question is on place: Secondary way to IM, in case the SL Viewer or any other viewer could temporarily be unusable because of some sudden reason, like graphics card problem, or other. So if this forum is accessable without viewer, can Im get sent to the virtual side? EDIT: Hmm, I have some problems using the forum, in some setting I can leave comment, but now I do not even see it anywhere, so the Forum-like IM does not have any connection to the account's SL world's IM's in any way, these are two separate things? I just tested, but the login failed, or did not advance through (stayed on login window). I tried with and without the adviced (default) last name. Maybe system is not supported... or it is me. EDIT2: Looking here quickly. I really Used Slite program through mobile, really slow, sonnection, when my ISP was down. It was handy little program without graphics, so it works on very slow bandwidth.

Okay, all of sudden my computer graphics card went power off without any warning. Then I tried to restart, no waking up. Did that ~6 months old GTX Titan Black 6GB Gddr5-card die? I have not examine that yet throughly. Luckily I had a way to get to SL with my older computer installation with Firestorm, for it does not run SL Viewer. (IMMEDIATE EDIT:)SOLVED: Well, I tried to IM my friends, why I vanished, but the Firestorm made insane bursts empty IM's and there stood then that my IM's were "suspended" or something. Whaat? Never ever I am brave nough to try that Firestorm either. So I need a support on this, I am done my way to Premium and do not wish to be vanished. :O SOLUTION: I had a keyboard jammed on Enter-key, fixed and replaced, so the problem is *not* Firestorm, phew! So I have an alternative way to SL world, until I get the main comp. fixed. Must now read the answers and edit/answer/etc.... Questions: 1.) When I no way can safely get to SL, can I any way to note my SL friends what happened? Can I post them through this forum, or where I find the IM-feature? I got that serious computer crash and am not sure, is there any way existing, with what I can get to SL. I'm confused, clueless, hopeless, down and everything. As a very newbie (about 10 days?) This is definitely THE explaining thing. I think this helped me to get this figured a LOT. I encountered into some Kudos-feature and find that to give that, my question is on wrong place. Your answers are very much appreciated. Now I think I have enough knowledge to do somewhat safe advancing, but still as a newbie, I now sort this thing in my mind, making some clear mindmap of this. I am positive now, that this problem can be called as "solved" and I will edit my first post yet a bit later, then making note of that. Thank You so much, I think I have been in a direction approximately, but this helps really to figure it a bit more. I think I need to remap this to my brains, do I still have something I miss/ figure out. But some additional things, as I now understand: 1.) Most important to me to figure 110%: The tier (montly payment like in my first post) is not yet the land, but sort of permission to get more/own land? 2.) As I have premium, and with its additional 512m2 + the tier (montly payment) I have now total of 1024m2 size parcel allowed to buy only, so it is not yet any land? 3.) Now the option is to find the land. 3a.) The only option to get that from the LL (where the tier is got to get more land) is to rent for additional monthly cost? That way I could get "fresh" untouched land, which would surely have untouched defaults in permissions. And then the question mark would be the neighbours. 3b.) From resident: Nothing guarantee, that after the land purchase you would get the land at all. Or not all of the permissions belonging to the area would not be transferred. Figured I this right? Huh, then that renders this option unusable/ too risky, at least for a beginner like me. If I understanded the previous ones right, I would like this cleared too. Then I think I should find some land to rent from LL, which seems to be better option for beginner. Also I will do update/edit my post(s) appropriately, how I finally get to the goal. Also as I am new to the forums as well, I research, what there is options to make/do with the (answered) topic.

Greetings to the forum, I have encountered to the problem I was not able to clear, even how I tried. Okay, so how I should understand all the tiers, rents, etc. ...?
