I am with you 100% Stevie, EEP is not really exploiting everything we could do, especially for clouds and stars designers like us, It's very frustrating :(

  2. Heyy ♥

I have been testing the new EEP format for weeks, I have been able to talk privately with my followers with what they think of this new format, which has been implemented in the official viewer and in BD. I have to say that I don't see it fair that a whole community has to force itself to implement a windlight one by one. They have been adapted for more than 7 years to a format that disappears from one moment to the next, we should have both options, EEP and the classic format through folders, where everyone can have their list of windlights, sky and water cycles. It can't be that photographers, decorators, and people who use windlights on a daily basis are having these problems.

A small idea if it is not possible to keep the classic format using folders is:
We could have an option from the viewer that can read XLM format to upload it to your inventory, and I'm not saying it's free. Similar method to upload a mesh or upload a texture, but in XLM. I think it would save a lot of headaches for many, the community is very desperate and I think it would be something that would simplify the headaches they are having.

I hope you can read this, since there are many of us who do not see EEP as a great companion, if not as almost an enemy.

In this world what is needed is unity and that we can all help each other.

    Thanks.

    Jay.

Solo un aviso para aquellos que están haciendo nubes EEP, las texturas de las nubes actualmente se muestran al revés: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-228840 . Esto se solucionará en un próximo lanzamiento.

Ok thankss Dan , I would love to be able to talk privately with you, and present some ideas. I wish so much that the EEP project can offer us many more things.

I have been making windlights for more than 5 years and creating clouds and stars for 2 years via inworld, I have been trying to manage the EEP, but I miss some options especially for a better softness in tones and a specific option for light reflections in skins of the avatars.

All my respects to your team, I hope EEP will evolve.

    Jay.

  5. ☁️I have been creating windlights for many years and now also clouds and stars, and the current state of the windlights is being shameful.

    My Blog: https://fashionformenbattlescars.blogspot.com/search/label/Windlight

A few weeks ago I am experiencing problems when I want to implement a windlight in my region, and the result is totally different.

    ----(I attach two images

original windlight before and after implemented in the region)-----grabilla.em8096.thumb.png.19bdcca373037fc64f66ae7c641e6717.png

    grabilla.em1916.thumb.png.8801c02b36ee575ae2789fc7b373f974.png

For landscaping and decoration designers this is a real headache.

I'm not talking about the EEP version, if not the normal version, in Firestorm and Black Dragon.

While the EPP project is solved ... I do not understand why LL is modifying those things that did not happen before.

I expose this problem and send a ticket a few days ago and I still do not have an answer. I hope someone can give me some information about this problem in the regions. Thank you and happy weekend 😊

Step one go here and download the EEP viewer:  http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Alternate_Viewers

Step two get to an EEP enabled region: Two options:

-Option 1:  Get yourself on the beta grid and get to the sim EEPTesting.  This option is kinda better for full hands on testing because that sim is filled with parcels for sale that you can use your imaginary beta-not-money to buy and test fully.  Drawback:  any skies you make exist on beta grid and not main grid so you'll have to remake all that stuff on the main grid later.

-Option 2:  Go to one of the following sims on the main grid:  Hoppotropolis, Hippo Hollow, Denby, Longfellow, Hanley, Cirano.  While you can not own a parcel on those sims likely you can set a windlight to display for you only and work on it in those sims and snaps creenshots with it.  Benefit:  you get to make and stash your windlights ahead of time.

If you want to show off your windlights there's a thread here that I discovered only after posting a couple on this thread.

Thank you so much :D ♥
