Currently, all homes on the Bellisseria continent are 'sold out'. People may, or may not, abandon their homes, though. Whether you'll be able to snag one up, will depend on your willingness to press the refresh button all day. For me, a more realistic scenario is to simply closely watch the forum and/or blogs for new homes to come. YMMV, though.
hope it dont take as long as bakes on mesh lol

Java isn't working in any browser - you are probably talking about JavaScript. But that's usually not a problem with the browser but with whoever created the JavaScript.
plus the fact is that it is a problem with opera sometimes the pages dont load prop, i found, so the script is buggy, i found this out after a recent upgrade

on the subject of being hacked, the only way you could be hacked would be ie, from your pc, or if Lyndon labs was hacked, they would use a key logger on your pc, which logs anything you type in from your pc and sends it back to the hacker via a Trojan virus, use a decent virus checker update regular, do a fill system scan just in case, a good firewall helps, would have thought Lyndon's security would be top spec, i see it all the time on face book where people get there accounts cloned, but thats a diff thing to here, make sure your pc is not slow that could be a sure sign of malicious software or a virus running in the background, there are also some fake browser sites about what could do it, i think firestorm recently had a prob with it, only use browser from the original site not a third party site, hope you have luck

I've only had a quick look at it and thought it could do normal maps too.
If not, here is a really handy online tool to create normal maps from height maps:
http://cpetry.github.io/NormalMap-Online/
It can sometimes generate good normal maps from diffuse maps too but it's not really made to do that job and it's always a bit touch and go.
nice one thanks

Can you explain bit more pls?
think what he means is, that if you want to do that you may have to stop avs from coming to your place, in the uk when there is ie, a private function you have to have a invatation only system, in a night club, where if you have to be on the list what a doorman or security person has vip list, so they know who to let in and who not to, to keep the numbers down ie only frends, and no strangers, good luck to you and peace and love, there is a way but you would need to greate a group i think, just to ask them to join your group, and only allow group members, i can do it at my home in sl where i live

No, SL does not support real-time ray tracing. Here's an article on the GTX 2080 vs the 1080. The 2080 is only useful for new games that use its dedicated ray tracing hardware. Performs about the same as a 1080 on existing games.
NVidia 1080 pricing. The spike in the middle was the cryptocurrency mining boom. Finally, the price is dropping. Historically, a year and a half after release, pricing should have been down by 50%. Not this year. Expect the price to drop further now that this is the old model.
perhaps there may be a way to turn it off in the card options or may be backwards compatible

Just converted and 500 USD at today's rate is £378 - my food, gas and electric, clothing, internet for a month for me and 2 kids and if I budget really hard, a little left for the Christmas fund.
seen one on ebay 500 quid, think this is due to the rate of the pound against the dollar if it had been a couple of years back u would have pickrd one up for about 200 quid blooming economy over here is crap now , shame really guess we all have to tighten our belts, low wages, etc while inflation goes up, and our crappy governmant anyway good luck you never know santa may be good to u all the best

would love one but alas its out of my budget cant afford one , retails at bout 500 uk pounds over here so i may take a step down to the previous card,

Your ping times above are local to the UK with the exception of the US Oregon servers which are closer to what we would expect. Google DNS is a distributed service that responds from the most local instance. Cloudflare is a cloud and content distribution service, their job is to be local. Your traceroute results would confirm this as they'd show very few hops for the local responses and a long list for the actual US servers. If you want to test the actual ping latency to your region as I did for mine then ping the actual IP address of your region. You will find this in help->about in the viewer.
As has been said a bottleneck in the viewer performance is most likely, suggesting that your graphics settings are too high for your machine, the disk cache is not keeping up (anti Virus is often a cause of this) or local network (esp wifi is weak), etc. You can only diagnose these properly by testing various settings and seeing which ones help/hinder as has been suggested. You might want to walk through all of the advice on the "my FS is very laggy" wiki page .
thank you for your help, will tweek my graphics card see what happens you have been very helpfull cheers

the point is they should have made enough for all premium members they know how may members they have, ok they may have a few left over, also i think that people who have been premium members for a long time should have had first choice, not newbies who have just signed up, thats my feeling about it, but hey ho we have to wait now, emails could have been sent to members who have been here for a long time, or they could have offerd them as a rewards system for being loyal to sl
