Yeah so I talked to my friend and he told me to switch norton anyway so I did some things and it actually works now so I guess it was worth it to realize all of this. Now I must embark on actually learning to play...

Ugh so turns out my Norton has like huge problems it's not even starting up.... This may be the case.

So I downloaded Second Life for the first time about a week ago. I made my account and everything, and every time I try to log in, I get a message that says "Login failed. Despite our best efforts, something unexpected has gone wrong. Please check status.secondlifegrid.net to see if there is a known problem with the service. If you continue to experience problems, please check your network and firewall setup." I have never once been able to log into SL. The first time I tried, there had been an issue posted on the grid that wasn't allowing new log ins. Since then, it has been resolved. My network hasn't had an issue, and I'm not exactly sure what I should be checking on my firewall? Am I doing something wrong to log in?
