The store IS closing in SL. The CSR's have announced that in group and her discord group is gone as well.

They won't suspend your account for quite a while, i know this for a fact because i've had payment fail a couple of time because of my check being late deposited in my account, so that is a wrong assumption. Once you do have the money it will automatically be taken out of whatever payment info you have. I want to say it's 3 months before they will actively suspend your account but don't quote me on that.

I would continue to be in SL maybe not as much but it's a big part of me so I'd buy and full region and build the place I've always wanted to do but never had the money lol

I feel the need to correct an error. It was NOT CSI: Miami it was CSI: New York. I saw the episode and "I" was one of the people who checked out Second Life. So, yes there are people that joined SL because of that show. Just thought I'd throw that out there and btw? The REAL SL was nothing like you saw on the show! LOL.

Let me explain. I found a really nice pool but it's was too large and too white. Here's the MP link to the pool. So I decided to use the pool insert and then make a base for the pool. Like this:
Then I made the pool not so deep and tinted the surround to blend with the brick texture that came with the Med Content Pack.
I've done this many times over the years. It's kind of like how we take kitchens from houses we've bought previously to use in our Linden Homes. Only this time I'm pulling a pool out of a build to use in a different way than the creator originally intended. You probably already have a house with a pool in your inventory that you could pull out and try to do this as well.
I actually do have a couple of pools that I could probably use and thank you so much for sharing that!

Yeah yeah demo always, my bad. I'd probably still have bought it but I was expecting a 5.3 Petite size.
So yeah, LaraX clothes on weekend sales already. It was Blume by the way, all of their stuff is nice (and mod!).
I'll put it away and try to remember when I've got enough to make the switch.
Amelia if you have the petite add on you can go to the store and do a redelivery from the desk and will get the full body petiteX

I must have demo'd a thousand skins and almost every one of them had some kind of shine. I mean, really? Does your skin shine like that in RL??? lol
I like when creators are quick to change and [BB] is definitely not one to let the grass grow under their feet.

They reworked the crotch on the laraX so things get really crazy around the hips and waist unless it's a larax version..
I had the same problem with things not working well with my Itgirls queen line with the lara 5.3 version.. But I switched to the Reborn version and it works perfect on my laraX..
I think a lot depends on how much details are in the body skin and if they have shine in certain areas that have been worked on and are different from the lara 5.3
I'm currently using Not Found and Dee Talez and from what I am seeing, there isn't a difference, which I'm glad because I had a heck of a time finding skins that don't look like a ton of oil has been poured all over it.
Also, if you bought any Belzebubble from MP, there are a lot of outfits that they have updated to the LaraX and PetiteX

Always has done for me when swapping BOM enabled bodies. I mean it should always just work since the way BOM works is that the body faces are set to channels (BAKED_UPPER, BAKED_LOWER) and SL handles what is actually assigned to those channels via the skin you are wearing.
Some people are saying that LaraX might need a specific skin to look best but I've not noticed anything, I haven't looked too closely but it seems fine to me.
Thanks Amelia, when I did try it on my skin looked ok, but like you I haven't looked that close.

Oh absolutely, I've gotten more and more notices from creators saying they will no longer support the old Maitreya and I suppose that's ok, I just have to get used to the body that's all. Question: LaraX already has BoM enabled, now IF I take off my old body and add the new one, do I need to also take off the skin or can I leave it on? Thanks!

There are literally tens of thousands of outfits available for Lara, and at the best stores several hundred. I have not met anyone who can afford every single clothing item at any major store, and I'd like to meet anyone who has bought everything for Lara 5.3 at even some of the minor retailers like Seniha, Candy Kitten, Lunar, Ricielli, erratic, Ecru, Neve, Just Because, COCO, amias, Dead Doll etc.
My own thinking (and not everyone will agree) is that there is plenty of clothing for 5.3 to last years more in SL without exhausting your wardrobe choices.
Plus, you might even see the 5.3 stuff becoming cheaper in stores as Lara X gain momentum, just for the long tail sales profits for the creators. And if rigging for the new X is much easier, fashion comes even faster and more petite support, both pluses.
Sorry @Annie Nova I don't think I answered your question at the end there. How many more creators? Probably most of them, given that rigging for Lara X is easier, which saves them time, effort, and struggle, and results in more clothing easier for a better ROI on their time.
That's fine Katherine and I do agree that there is a ton of clothes out there, I just I'm just being stubborn lol I have the new body but just have not had time to do any real looking at it and I have gotten a few clothes that are including the new body so I suppose it's a win/win. 🙂
