If you have trouble logging into Second Life, using the same settings that worked yesterday, check the "grid status" before assuming you're crazy. SL goes through these bouts of networking incompetence (or is it incontinence?) where the system just doesn't work very well for random groups of people. Sometimes the Lindens will even admit it in a Grid Status report. Today has been particularly problematic, they did their usual round of "rolling restarts" to introduce new bugs (and sometimes features, even more rarely bug fixes) into the systems and the grid hasn't really recovered yet, after 12 hours.
