I try to teleport and I go no where! Frustrating!!!

I am signed in but i can't seem to start....where do I go? I am so lost!!!

I am knew to all this online community stuff! I can't even figure out how this site works! But I have found this forum and hopefully you guys can help me! I have to do a discussion for school on online communities ...meet people and ask them different questions. Like why you chose your avatar? Why you chose this site/game? Please help me!! Ahhhhhhh!
