The sports suggestion is great. Every sport has their own comunities. I like surfing at SL, and there are lot of beaches to surf, and competitions, parties. Also sailors have a good comunity. Box too also with competitions. But sure making real friends is always tricky, you can meet lot of ppl but you wont always conect with them.
