Hi, Thanks for the replies. Venus, when I mentioned brighter skins I was referring to skins without a built-in tan. Basically, a regular caucasian complexion without too much of a tan is what I'm looking for, doesn't have to be especially pale. As far as stores go, I focused on Samurai HQ, Tellaq and Designe 8 after much digging and searching. If you know of any other label/creator providing decent high-resolution textures for skins, I'd be thrilled to hear about them. Do beards usually come built into skins or should I try to get some as tattoo layer? I have a hunch that buying skin and beard separetely will end up looking less than desirable, but I may be wrong there. Bree, thanks for the hint about tattoos and making eyebrows myself. I'll look into that and see if I can find some tutorials, although I'm not the most talented person when it comes to pixel-art. If anyone has any suggestions where to find something like the pics above show, I'd be very grateful if you let me know.

Hey everyone, If anyone could provide some help with building a male avatar, that would be much appreciated. For the past four or five days I've turned both the marketplace and the stores inside SL upside down, with little success. Basically, I want to go for the brighter skin and hair tones, which already reduces choice greatly I find. I don't want to look like an action figure, so a skin without way overdone abs and pectorals would be nice. Also, beard, preferably goatee or something similar, is a must. I've found lots of demos that have some of the above, but nothing ticking all the boxes. Some stores have great skin and shape combos, but either their skins have hairbases on them which don't match bright hair or they don't include brow shapers and thus the skin gets messed up around the eyes. Anyone out there who can help me look decent in SL?
