I know it has been quite some time since this was posted but i had been using my friends desktop that already had Sl installed. I recently lost that computer so i need to install on my laptop. I have attempted to do as you instructed but it is just not working. Any other ideas? (you are a huge help so far)

Machine: Drivers updated, running at least minimum specs with drivers updates. Windows 8 Viewers: Firestorm, SL viewer Problem: I start up the programs and on both I get "initializing VFS" then it hops to either a black or pure white screen and i can not close it unless i go through my task manager. Done it for both of the viewers now and i am going a little crazy. I have tried the majoritiy of the fixes i have found so far but none seem to be working. Help is appreciated and thank you in advanced.
