OK, thanks. I heard that sometimes the white dot fails..meaning a person may not have a white dot but can still hear the conversation.

The other day someone told me I could not possibly hear the conversation because I was not "voice enabled." I asked the person how did they know I was not voice enabled. They said they could tell because I did not have a white dot above my head and that is how they could tell. However, I could hear the avatars talking. How was I able to hear the voices? Also, when if I create a new account, and enter a SIM where people are speaking on voice, will I be able to hear the voices or do I need to do something in my preferences? Do I have to do something to become "voice enabled?"
