Giovedì 21 novembre ore 22.30 IT - 1.30 PM SLT http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Solaris%20Island/98/212/2101 L'evento è parte della manifestazione 2Lei 2013 - Giornata mondiale contro la violenza sulle Donne in Second Life.

  3. “REGAINING FREEDOM (artists speak)” http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/RothKo/39/224/2587 Tuesday, November 19th 1.30 PM SLT The lost freedom of battered women is the theme proposed to different artists, that develop it, each one of them giving a very personal vision of what it suggests to them. Kicca Igaly has built an installation that will serve as a hall for the presentation of the machinimas that speak in images, in some cases also with voice, about the main topic for this year. Kicca Igaly also presents an explanatory text, which complements her work: Free ... free at last! Deciding not to suffer more the oppression of a violent man ... Deciding and manage his own life ... And holding the hand of her son, leave the house-prison, leaving a defeated man, that launches a last gesture compartment of recall. The machinimas, mostly made for this event and therefore unpublished, belong to artists from different countries, Spain, France, Luxembourg, United States, Peru, Puerto Rico, in an attempt to, on my part, transform this important world problem in an international act too. Not only women are sensitive to this social scourge. Many men also want to denounce it. Hence, besides being international, my call to them and their positive reception, has resulted finally in the exhibition that Galerie Artemis will present. Presented artists: : Elros Tuominen, Gregory Kappler, HOLALA Alter, Karima Hoisan, LeMelonRouge, Mary Wyckentowe, Mauro Enyo, Natascha Randt, Nitro Fireguard, Noke Yuitza, Yesikita Coppola. The event can be followed also in the land: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Solaris%20Island/26/116/22 http://slurl.com/secondlife/Royal%20Chase/32/76/47 http://slurl.com/secondlife/Osteria/93/193/157
  4. This event from the beginning of the eight-day event, now in its fourth edition. They are 100. 100 women in 10 months. 10 women per month. 1 woman every 3 days. The husband, partner, boyfriend kill more than road accidents, more than heart attacks, more than cancer. The other women, victims of violence, remain forever scarred in the body and, above all, in the soul: too often "they fall down the stairs" or "slam against doors." Bruises on their faces. Bruises on their soul. Bruising on their heart. The theme and posters of this edition will be presented during this event as well as the "added value" that was brought forward by the committee. Sunday, November 17th 3:00 PM SLT - 23.00 IT Red Lines Gallery http://slurl.com/secondlife/Solaris%20Island/69/40/902 ___________________________ AC/DC are an Australian hard rock band, formed in November 1973 by brothers Malcolm and Angus Young, who have remained constant members. Commonly referred to as a hard rock or blues rock band, they are also considered pioneers of heavy metal and are sometimes classified as such, though they have always dubbed their music as simply "rock and roll". To date they are one of the highest-grossing bands of all time. ____________________________ Metallica is an American heavy metal band from Los Angeles, California. The band's fast tempos, instrumentals, and aggressive musicianship placed them as one of the founding "big four" of thrash metal alongside Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax. Metallica formed in 1981 when James Hetfield responded to an advertisement that drummer Lars Ulrich had posted in a local newspaper. The band earned a growing fan-base in the underground music community and critical acclaim with its first four albums, with their third, Master of Puppets (1986), described as one of the most influential and "heavy" thrash metal albums. Metallica achieved substantial commercial success with their eponymous fifth album (also known as The Black Album), which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. With this release the band expanded its musical direction resulting in an album that appealed to a more mainstream audience.

  7. Tanalois Art and torno Kohime Foundation have the pleasure to invite you to "Blues Time" by Bacillo Bruun DJ into the Photo Exhibition "Looking at SL" by Duna Gant We will listen to the most beautiful Blues songs masterfully mixed by Bacillo Bruun. Saturday, November 9th 2:00 PM SLT - 23.00 IT Landmark: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Solaris%20Island/91/36/942 _______________ Blues is the name given to both a musical form and a music genre that originated in African-American communities of primarily the "Deep South" of the United States around the end of the 19th century from spirituals, work songs, field hollers, shouts and chants, and rhymed simple narrative ballads. The blues form, ubiquitous in jazz, rhythm and blues, and rock and roll is characterized by specific chord progressions, of which the twelve-bar blues chord progression is the most common. The blue notes that, for expressive purposes are sung or played flattened or gradually bent (minor 3rd to major 3rd) in relation to the pitch of the major scale, are also an important part of the sound. The blues genre is based on the blues form but possesses other characteristics such as specific lyrics, bass lines, and instruments. Blues can be subdivided into several subgenres ranging from country to urban blues that were more or less popular during different periods of the 20th century. Best known are the Delta, Piedmont, Jump, and Chicago blues styles. World War II marked the transition from acoustic to electric blues and the progressive opening of blues music to a wider audience, especially white listeners. In the 1960s and 1970s, a hybrid form called blues-rock evolved. "The blues takes many forms... It is variously a feeling, a mood, a nameless threat, a person, a lover, a boss man, a mob, and, of course, the Devil himself. It is often experienced as both cause and effect, action and reaction, and it can be used as both hex and counterhex, poison and antidote, pain and relief. Most importantly, the blues is both the cause of song, and song itself..."

My abstracts are about movement, layering, and dealing with the subconscious anxiety. As a calligrapher, I applied the paint in a calligraphic manner to produce imageries only left for the viewer to interpret. My still lifes is simple. A fruit or two. But they interact like people. We had to sit or dance in some places for hours. So after a while I've decided to do something else and I started to build some scarfs with sculpts, the brand was called MUU, I had a tiny shop and I don't think I ever sold a thing :D. Even without sales my partner Squonk Levenque, made a deal for me to get a new bigger store, and he presented me an idea he had with shirts for boys. The brand was called Kamikaze and the collection he made was very good for the time. We started a new shop and we sold many many many clothes until2012, when due to lack of time time we had to stop the store inworld. Sometimes we still make a few things, but we just sell in marketplace now. It was a way to make money faster and much more fun I must say :D. My first experience with pictures in SL started with the photos we had to do for the clothes. In 2011 I got a new job in SL as assistant of WarmAnimations Lisa, the creator of Warm Animations, that was the patron of the sim I've built with Squonk: Felona & Sorona. Just recently I started to do photos as a form of art. I really enjoy it and I am just sorry that I don't have more time to dedicate to it. This exhibition in Red Lines Gallery at Torno Kohime Foundation is called All Around and is about landscapes all around SL. Some sims are gone unfortunately, and I'm glad there is photos that let us remember about that amazing places. I hope you all enjoy it.

Tanalois Art and torno Kohime Foundation have the pleasure to invite you to the "Rolling Stone Tribute" by andromeda Slade DJ We will listen to the most beautiful songs of the British band masterfully mixed by andromeda Slade. Saturday, October 5 2.00 PM SLT - 23.00 IT Landmark: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Solaris%20Island/125/44/23 The Rolling Stones are an English rock band formed in London in 1962 who were in the vanguard of the British Invasion of bands that became popular in the US from 1964–65 and an integral part of the counterculture of the 1960s. The Rolling Stones were also instrumental in making blues a major part of rock and roll, and of changing the international focus of blues culture to the more primitive blues typified by John Lee Hooker and by Chess Records artists such as Muddy Waters, writer of "Rollin' Stone", the song after which the band is named. American music critic Robert Palmer said the Rolling Stones' "remarkable endurance" stems from being "rooted in traditional verities, in rhythm-and-blues and soul music" while "more ephemeral pop fashions have come and gone". The first settled line-up had Brian Jones on guitar and harmonica, Ian Stewart on piano, Mick Jagger on lead vocals and harmonica, Keith Richards on guitar and backing vocals, Bill Wyman on bass and Charlie Watts on drums. Jones left the band about a month prior to his death in 1969, and was replaced by Mick Taylor, who was replaced by Ronnie Wood in 1975. Since Wyman's departure in 1993, bassist Darryl Jones has been a collaborator rather than an actual band member.

Reading an article in the American Journal, I realized that Second Life was something else, it is a place used to pleasure doing business, others see it as financial speculation, for other people it’s just a 3D chat. But soon it became a niche for lovers of creativity. I’m not a professional photographer in RL but I like to take pictures when I see something I like, a person or a situation, which is why I always carry a small camera in my bag. Only Second Life has allowed me to develop without the need for powerful means my emotionalism, take the moment of one feeling into simple shots that stop a moment of my time. Unlike many artists in the metaverse I work in handicraft way my snapshots using the minimum graphics editing software not by choice but by inability to use them, I brake considerably the result of my photos, I know that I am not an expert photographer maybe if I had more time I could get more satisfactory photos. I think I’m an end user of Second Life taking advantage of the ability of creators who knows how to give reality to the bodies of the avatars and who knows how to give motion to the avatar with the use of poses. I treat merges these two aspects, study of body language of a human body. I hope that my photographs can be a stimulus of irony, emotions and feelings, that these photographs go beyond a Simple observation of the photograph itself.
