  1. Steph & Peter: Thanks for the additional info on this - only just realised more replies had been added. Appreciate you taking the time. Writing bots and custom viewers is quite far beyond my skill level right now, but it's still useful to know that this would be how I could approach it. A custom viewer would solve quite a few of my problems, I think. Thanks again for your advice.
  2. Thanks Rolig and Steph. OK, so there's no way to set the 4 simple sun positions available in the viewer (sunset, midday, sunset, midnight) directly via a LSL script. That's good to know - I can stop looking And is there no way to trigger a keyboard shortcut via LSL? i.e. for a script to send keystrokes to the viewer? Apologies if that's a dumb question - it's relatively early days for me wrt scripting so I'm still not sure what's possible. Best wishes, Treee
  3. Hiya I'm working on a research project to investigate the use of virtual worlds for speech and language therapy to people who have Aphasia following a stroke. We're trying to minimise the use of menus - most of our participants are unable to read - so where possible I want to allow people to use graphical buttons instead of navigating a menu. It would be nice to allow people to control the sun position using a HUD, i.e. to be able to click a button to change to midday, sunset, midnight etc. Is this possible? I can't seem to find any way to script this directly (if this _is_ possible, please let me know!) but I was wondering if it's possible to trigger keyboard shortcuts via a script, so that I could use the viewer's built-in shortcuts for changing the sun position? Again I haven't found anything that says it's possible, so I thought I'd ask here in the meantime while I continue my search. Any advice/pointers gratefully received. Best wishes, Treee
