Before going to the trouble of doing an inventory cache-clear-and-reload, try clicking the Reset Filters button in the inventory window.

Thanks Lindal, has been checked.. in the new release notes on the latest firestorm viewer it states they “added an option to filter by permissions” however it seems to have filtered out entire folders randomly appearing blank.  I went back to the previous version of firestorm and do not have that issue anymore and the sl viewer doesnt as well.

  2. I am having this issue too majorly since newest firestorm empty folders which should contain objects/items.  It must be a glitch within fs itself.. when i log into sl viewer all objects appear in said empty folders.. be careful! (not to delete these not really empty folders)

I have read the wiki on firestorm inventory but i think its in the viewer end if it functions fine on the sl viewer which i dislike using especially to see my inventory in its entirety.   I hope a fix will be in place soon

Every time I log in, even if I log out and log again in 1 second, I always get this message: "Too many instant messages. Delivery capped". It doesn't make sense because in 1 second I don't receive a large volume of messages and the group notices are deactivated. Does it happen to someone else? What solution do you have? I think it's a bug caused by Linden but I don't know why and how to solve it.

Hi there GuillemDeFollet! You mentioned you had group notices unchecked, wonderful! but do you also have group ims unchecked?

also check subscriptions you have have from shops which most claim to not take groups but their communications to you could be contributing to it.

your first statement though about logging in/out for one second and seeing  that message pop up.. If I checked all else I would file a ticket with LL and see if they can assist.. seems glitchy.

    Why?

It is of my opinion that it looks horrible, doesn't go together.  It also makes the person look like they are half invested in their avatar to put it nicely.  As I said earlier if you don't want to go mesh, all system or all mesh look the best.. Let me put it this way.. would a 70 year olds body look wonderful with a 22 year old head?

I know this is not likely to happen, but it is a wish, right?

The ability to go back. Let us say, you have a location you like, but you are beginning to be restless. But you are afraid to let go, and get only bad locations and miss what you abandoned. The abandoned house will not show up on the land page until 24 hours have passed, and in that period, you could click "reclaim my house in (location).

    (Missing Humansville) 😢

    Great idea!

Nope it’s not a joke. You can indeed choose your own personal last name. Sorta. It’s more...you buy the name and rent it yearly and can create accounts for that name. Your actual main avatars name won’t change. I think it’s more for organisations and businesses but I don’t see any reason a normal resident couldn’t pay for it

Right its only designed for organizations and businesses regular surnames are not allowed per rules. This may confuse alot of people but heres what we are referencing

    http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Custom_Name_Program

This is completely different from the name changes on their way (although makes me wonder if both will continue to co-exist as one is for businesses/organizations and the other which is to come personal surnames)

I would like to see a timeline and updates regularly of the cloud move, including a projected finish date (Dec 31, 2020 as of right now?) and hear a little more detail about what sort of features are going to be on hold until the move is complete. I have a feeling it’s going to be a lot of features delayed and on hold,  and that unless we are kept up to date with News, people are going to get frustrated and impatient in the meantime and feel like the lab employees are not listening when there aren’t many feature updates for a long time. The whole “soon “, “very soon “, etc. is not very useful and I get that it is supposed to be funny and playful when regarding features that are optional but I don’t really find it funny anymore when it’s applied to every update and serious things too. I agree that identifying timelines has come back to bite the lab in the past and I really regret that...however some sort of loose conversational timeline/transparency isn’t unreasonable to ask. residents need to definitely back off on screaming about Deadlines like a toddler crying “you said… “ though because we just get less if we demand more, however I’m asking 🙂

I would also like to hear about the new engineering project that Ebbe referred to, even if it’s just small details. But I have a feeling it’s something big, what can you tell us? some huge overhaul in 2020? That’s the thing I’m most curious about.

As far as premium plus, I would like for you to take a poll of the residents on which possible features we would actually like to have before you decide concretely on at least some of the premium plus features. I’m sure that the ‘pluuuus’ thing was an inside joke of some sort but without context it’s simply not funny to the rest of us.

As an aside; Strawberry can moderate the volume of all of the listeners Via her chat control panel in the UI, as she is the one streaming/recording...so since it bothered quite a few people enough that it actually put them off of listening to the chat entirely,  maybe she could do a voice check and adjust levels at the beginning of each broadcast. I didn’t use headphones to listen to it so it didn’t really bother me.

couldnt have said it better myself.

Have to say, very disappointed with the choice of winners. Sour grapes on my part I know. But I won’t choose any of these. I want to choose my own last name, damn you LL. Maybe I entered too many times, but why no love for:

    Mirage
    Chimera
    Cinnabar
    Incognito (I mean, come on!)
    MacGuffin
    Telosian (a Star Trek reference)
    Tumbleweed
    Havana
    Kashmir
    Casablanca
    Shaggybreeches
    Zarathustra
    Beelzebub
Methuselah  (a good one for us old-timers)

And there were more, so many more.

Now, I know they were never going to choose ‘PoutyMcPoutFace’ - but half of SL needs this name!

Great submissions i love them all

  9. My question is how many of the Lindens voted on the names?  it seems in the single digits.   The fact they got that many submissions means this is a very big deal for alot of Residents.  From what names ive read posted here the majority entered are sooo much better/more creative/etc then those that won!   My wish is LL would take the suggestions and put them in the drop downs what didnt win because most are great what a great creative community we have! I cant wait for the rollout of this!  please dont make us wait till well i dont want to give a date xd

I posted only three suggestions, following what I assumed were the rules.  If my odds are diminished then it's a shame but there you are.

That’s what i did too.  In another thread a user stated they had many entries all diff names so I’m really not sure.   All I know is i thought i followed rules too and entered 3 names only and one submission of the names I really liked.  However, did not see it state anywhere where it was only one entry per avatar.
