I deleted nothing. The IT guys switched me over to the corporate network which is an open network made available for things like this.

Perhaps I should have given a little more info.. I work in a hospital in a department with a lot of down time. The specifics are irrelevant, but it's perfectly acceptable with management that I use SL. I've already cleared it. The wifi I use is a public wifi for patients and guests. I'm sure you can do the math on why the firewall is in place. Thank you for your suggestion about working while I'm "punched in" though. I've already found a solution that does not violate hospital/IT policy. I should have deleted my question.. B-)

When I try to use my laptop to login to second life while at work, I get the errors about loading region assets. I tried all the solutions I could find, but I've come to the conclusion that the wifi is behind a firewall of some sort. What would be the easiest way to bypass it? Was hoping there might be a way to forward the ports through http.
