My opensuse doesn't have this file you described. However, I did manage to find a way to get second life to run. First I went to the Opensuse build serve and found a repo with firestorm and just installed an rpm version of the program and now it works. I'm not sure why the normal tarball version won't run though. I am a newb to linux though and I am sure there is something obvious I am overlooking here.

Thanks for the advice. I tried firestorm and it would actually launch, but then I get a media_plugin_webkit failed error. I then tried again with my firewall turned off and still the same thing.

I am running 64 bit Opensuse 12.3 and it is totally up to date. Also, I am using an NVIDIA Quadro K2000 graphics card with the most current drivers. Any help would be great as I really want to be able to run this program. Thanks
