Hello Mason, Could you elaborate a little on what the project is? I understand not wanting to go into too many details on a public forum, especially if its an original idea. Rocket Town will be hosting our very first bowling tournament as part of our grand opening event! Our bowling tournaments will be held quarterly, with this first one being a little out of schedule. The 8 person tournament begins April 14th, with a match everyday for 7 days. The winner of the final match, goes home with L$2,500 as well as a customized trophy. Rocket Town Sim is looking for an experienced graphic artist to start immediately. We are a new sim getting ready to open that contains several different venues such as Rocket Town GamePlex, Rocket Town Flea Market and Rocket Town Campground. With more coming soon. Duties Include: *Designing and creating logos for each venue, as well as a main logo for the sim as a whole. *Creating advertisements for billboards, forums and event schedules. *Creating advertisements and graphics for various tournaments such as our bowling, billiards or fishing tournaments. Graphics will be used in invitations and other various ads throughout the grid. *Other digital graphics as needed, such as for our blog. Experience Requested: *Must be proficient with PhotoShop or Gimp. *Please have examples of your work. *Must be LGBT friendly. Rocket Town is not an exclusively gay sim, however the club "SkyLites" is LGBT, as well as the owners of the sim and many of our friends and patrons. *Must be 18 years or older *References are not required but a plus! Pay will be discussed, but will be a pay-per-graphic type of employment. We are a fun group of people with a laid back and friendly attitude. Time is an issue, after our previous graphics designer was unable to complete the job due to real life issues. The sim will be ready to open with-in the next 2 weeks! A bonus will be paid for swift completion of initial assignment (company logo, grand opening graphic for invitations). PLEASE NOTE: SecondLife and our venture RocketTown, is a hobby for us, not our real life career or job. It is fun and rewarding in many ways however money is not our only primary goal! Please do not bother applying for this position if we are not on the same page about this. We are not able to pay real life USD per-hour rates. We are not able to pay hundreds of thousands of lindens for each graphic. We are generous and pay well, but if this is your real life career, then this job may not be a good fit for you. This seems like fun! My girlfriend and I will be there! I have been wanting to see this movie for a while. As far as the rights to show the movie go, I don't think most people even care. Especially since its free. But a lot of people will look for any technicality or reason to dump on someone's idea. I think a lot of people get some kind of satisfaction in shutting someone down! Now if you were charging money for admission to see the movie, I would understand. But it seems to me like you are just looking for something to do and bring people together to have fun. Which is one of the reasons I am in SecondLife to begin with! I went to check out the cinema, and I noticed that the raffles you have for tonight are even free. So why someone would want to get all nit-picky about having the rights to show a movie is beyond me. But bravo for actually going through the process of getting a lisence! See ya tonight Donivan!
