  2. No, not really, this is the point where I go "the fact that it's using high CPU is just because it's not using my video card, which is what I stated in the first post." Also, it's a setting in SL that's doing it, it has literally nothing to do with my video card at all, which is why I didn't mention the video card specs. It also doesn't have anything to do with my operating system. I want information on what second life does after a crash or on startup that might make it decide not to use my video device. It's not really selfritousness or stubborness when you fail to even read what I posted about WHY the issue is happening, instead you jump automatically to assume that it's a video card issue or driver issue when it is most definatly a software issue.
  3. My specs are not necessary. Anyone asking for them is just wasting my time because they don't have the answers to the question I seek or know anything about how games, rendering, applications or programming. They're going to tell me to roll back my drivers or something else stupid that I don't care about because I'm not looking to avoid crashes, I'm looking to stop the engine from disregarding my video card upon restart. My hunch is that it has something to do with the game automatically trying to use "debug" settings because it thinks that the game has crashed because of startup parameters or some such thing.
  4. Hi, I'm new to SL, but I'm not a derp. I'm great with comptuers etc. Basically, whenever SL crashes (happens about 1-2 times a day for me) it stops using my graphics card to render, only using my processor. The only way to fix this is to restart my computer. So my question is what does restarting my comptuer do that restarting my VIEWER does not? I want to know this so I can either: A) Alieviate the problem by making an automatic fix or B) At least be able to fix it without having to restart my computer. I normally don't crash that often, but sometimes I crash 2-4 times in a row for no reason and I have to restart my comptuer every time (ugh). DO NOT ASK WHAT MY SPECS ARE ETC. I DON'T CARE IF I CRASH I JUST WANT TO STOP SECOND LIFE VIEWER FROM NOT USING MY GRAPHICS CARD. Other information: This affects all viewers until I restart my computer. No I don't have a **bleep** PC I normally get over 100 FPS on maximum settings. How do I know it's not using my GFX card? Simple, my CPU core dedicated to SL is being pushed to full throttle and GPU temp is at idle. Thanks in advance.
