  1. You are a godsend. or a wonderfully random bit of genetic materials created millions upon millions years ago during the big bang brought together by chance and evolution and ultimately two people getting it on. Either way, thank you very much and thank you everyone else for your great input.
  2. Well I can get upwards if need be, Looking at computers in the usual bestbuy and Frys I see alot of "gaming" laptops at around the 1K range and just was curious what the community thought on good SL laptops. I suppose basically what I need to know is what could get to ultra setting ( I intend to do photography) in a laptop. I read the basics from one of the other posts but any extra knowledge would be beautiful of you.
  3. That is all well and good however I am completely unable to have a desktop because I simply do not have the space. I would prefer a desktop but no amount of pleading or convincing will make the current space issue go away. At best if I can find a way to have it all on a bed then sure id love to get a desktop.
  4. Oh no the laptop will have many many other uses as it replaces this laptop but having it up to spec on SL will certainly allow breathing room for other programs and games i was only just barely able to use or play with my current model. If anything I am just using SL as a placemark for what im going for, everything else falls into place along side it.
  5. Long ago in a sim far far away I joined up with Second Life for the first time. It is an amazing trip through an ever changing world and a load of fun to boot. However the computer I had then ( and still use now) is only barely able to play SL to the point the choppiness and lag forced me to put SL on the back burner. Well this year I have set aside about $1,000 towards a new laptop. I can give and take on the price and it must be a laptop for spatial reasons and since I am buying something new I would prefer to get the best bang for my buck and hopefully be able to play on high to ultra settings. Any Advice or direct links I should know about?
