You weren't muted. It's entirely stupid to think that the whole entire SL muted you at the same time. I am having much the same issue as you are. It's not just friends it's also people you've never spoken to am I right? I can no longer IM either, but nor can I transport without being booted. If anyone else has found a solution to this no IM, no tp bug, I would also be very interested to know what that solution is. My only means of travel at the moment is to log off, type destination, log into it. And my only means of chat is nearby chat. When you can't speak privately, you are being robbed of one of the most important assets of the game.

And that chick just isn't correct at all. It's a Second Life problem, not an issue with your equipment so don't let anyone tell you it is.

Basically, it's time to go to the Help > Contact Support page and begin complaining as I just did.

I know exactly why! This is also happening to me. I uninstalled and reinstalled a hundred times before I noticed it in my Download Manager. I still haven't figured out how to correct it, but I WILL let you know when I do. See when you load the Second Life VIewer, there's a sub-program called destinations. I don't know if we even CAN fix it. It seems like an issue with Second Life on their end. But this sub-program Destinations, is refusing to load all of a sudden for you and for me too. So you can only go to each location by logging out and logging into a Typed Destination. Teleporting is controlled by the Destinations program, and since it refuses to load, we keep getting the "Darn, blah blah blah" message. It seems like Second Life, the company themselves, needs to make a patch for it. Until then, those of us with a corrupt Destinations program can't teleport without being kicked. Basically, we drew the short straw. I don't know about you, but I spent money on this game and I'm feeling like a refund is in order. I also have a corrupt program called CheckLogin, and therefore I can't even log on at all. I'm very angry about this. I rented an apartment for 1500 Lindens and only got to use it for 2 days. When I rented it for a real life 2 weeks. I'm owed a refund and 2 program patches.

I can't get past Initializing VFS. It won't even load log in screen. Are there any settings I could change to fix the issue? I'll be here for a while so I'd like to log on.

I log into my account at my last location, and even typed locations fine. Connection is fast as ever. Scripting is amazing fast. But when I try to teleport it boots me. I can't IM others, and can't view my friends' names in my Friends list. Others claim to be experiencing same problem. How do I fix this?
