  1. Chad, You aren't as clever as you make out. You missed a lot of my other errors. Who is the idiot now then, aye? Hi, Folks. I am a young twenty-something-year-old creative writing and journalism student from Cambridge, England. I have been in Second Life since 2006 and have mostly enjoyed having fun and well, pursuing a much deserved and needed Second Life. I have experience working in Second life as a photographer and writer for the now vanished OMG! Magazine but most recently I have decided to start up a small newspaper myself which I have called "The Metaverse Courier" and the first edition although very small is now finished and live at themetaversecourier.net and is all proof checked and ready for you to read and enjoy. I am currently looking for enthusiastic and like-minded individuals who may be interested in helping me take this project further. I see a real potential for such a publication in Second Life following the demise of the similar publication known as The Metaverse messenger some years ago. If you feel you have something to give to the Metaverse Messenger be it that you're a writer, photographer or anything really then please do get in touch with me in world or reply to this thread.
  2. I hope it's proofed better than your post. Maybe you should consider getting a grammar/spell checker if you want to retain a smidgeon of credibility?
  3. Yeah, Chad. I know mate. It is just the same with a lot of Second Life residents these days, thinking they are better than everybody else. Actually, I was typing the comment on my iPhone with one hand, hence the small number of inaccurate spellings and grammar mistakes. Let me explain, I have a disability where I completely lost my right hand due to a serious childhood accident in which there was severe negligence involved. I use speech recognition software mostly when on the computer. And you are MR PERFECT RIGHT? Actually, let me make a serious point. We all have issues here right? Why else would we all be exploring and using a virtual world for several hours each day running businesses and the like unless we were mentally ill, retarded, disabled for whatever reason it may be. Any NORMAL person would just be doing this stuff inside the real world anyway. So, what is your diagnosis then Chad? Despite my issues and challenges in life, i'm just trying like everybody else. I strangely accept your comments but just make sure that you have the correct facts before you judge and attempt to put down others in future.

  7. Hi. I am currently in the process of expanding my land holding on the mainland. I have a 2048 parcel which is hopefully the start of a little Community. I have already placed a big grand villa which is split into apartments with access road from the Linden Route. I am now looking for a builder who can modify some buildings I have purchased as a complete MOD & COPY village from the seller of the villa so that they go well on the expansion parcels. I have tried but am totally useless! I am awaiting transfer of abandoned adjacent parcels from Linden Labs but am keen to discuss my project so that things can move on once ownership is granted to the two abandoned 1024 parcels of mainland. If you think you can help me and would like to discuss further please send me a notecard saying hello from within your viewer. Forum IM are not checked regularly. This will be a fully paid position and may lead to more work on the same project in the future should you do a good job and impress me. I look forward to talking with you. Kind Regards and Many Thanks. Wayne Bohemia

  10. Why is it that in SL these days it is practically impossible to find tradespeople? I need a builder, I have a simple project. I don't want a builder who says oh yes, i can do that... takes my readies and never appears again. SO.... I am looking for a genuine builder who will NOT take advantage of me and who will not run off with my money. SO... if you are one of the above, I would be grateful if you could contact me please. I do not reply to IM'S on this forum. I am sorry to sound so harsh, I am a nice guy really, but I have been conned 1 too many times lately. I hope somebody can help me because I am startimg to go crazy over this, 2 times ive even thouhgt about calling this game a day! Many Thanks. Wayne Bohemia

  14. Hi fellow Second Life Residents. I own a piece of mainland on a slight slope which I would like to develop. There are just over 7k sqm on my parcel and there are another two parcels which are abandoned that I am in the process of purchasing from Linden Labs. When the three parcels are connected, there will be a middle space where I invsage a path, raod or similar to link route 1 at the bottom of the parcel to the SLRR station at the top of thr parcel. I envisage a little basic spanish adobe themed village with little stores and 1 and 2 room homes. I would liketo speak to a builder about the project and discuss requirements with them and then when I am on my main second life client I will return the forest and work can start on half of the village and then integrating the abandoned parcels once I own them. I have a buget of about 6k lindens to complete the village. Contact me inworld if you think you can helpmme and I will TP you to the land and then agree details for stating themwork sometime in the next few days when I am back at home and on my pc. Many Thanks. Regards. Wayne Bohemia
  15. Hi Felow Second Life Residents. I am reluctantly selling my beloved Italian Village on the Second Life Mainland. Unfortunately I just don't seem to have the time to run it anymore these days and it isn't running to it's full potential - I feel somebody could do a better job than me, hence why I am selling the whole village. There are many rental houses and shops, 2 rental houses already have tenants inside paying 150L a week. There is also a sky gallery, harbour, dock area, two little beach cabin rentals etc! The village has appeared in several SL blogs and is also listed on the Destination Guide under the ctagory of Beaches. The village is priced at 15k. This reflects its beautiful location and the time and effort that ahs gone into creating this beauty. It is on a sim boundary so you will need to purchase both parts of the village, each one priced at 7,500 Lindens. Purchase and go! You could be running your own Italian Second Life Village within hours from now. TP to the village in-world and purchase it or contact me for more information. http://slurl.com/secondlife/Desdemona/220/101/28
  16. Dear Fellow Second Life Residents. We have recently added two shops to the main square at Salento Waterfront Village that are waiting for merchants to grab them up! Salento Waterfront Village has been featured in the SL destinations guide under beaches and has also had a lot of exposure in the form of blogs and a grid wide advertising campaign. Want somehwere different to set up shop,? Dont like the horrible prefab malls you find everywhere else? Well don't look not further than the Italian inspired, specially constructed Salento Waterfront Village where the two new stores cost 80L/week and come with a generous 50 prim rezzing allowance. We are currently negotiating to purchase the abandoned parcel to the rear of the village which will give us more prims at and enable us to open up many more stores for rentals. Come on down and take a look, stroll by the beach, say a prayer in the church or sit on the deck and enjoy ythe views. I can guarantee that you will fall in love with the village and want to start up shop there, although I am not a miricle maker and I cannot please everybody. Contact me in-world with any questions, queries or comments. http://www.slurl.com/secondlife/Desdemona%20/221/99/27/ http://www.salentowaterfrontvillage.info
