  1. Is anyone else having an issue on the official viewer with seeing display names despite all relevant settings being checked? I've even gone into debug nameTagShowDisplayNames and that's on True. If I open the avatars profile I can see they have a display name, it's just not showing above their username in world or in chat either for that matter.

  2. So I too was playing around with a chalet, tried a couple, decorated entirely but decided it was not for me. I missed the cosy nature of the log homes. So I rolled one, first try I landed this beautiful lakeside log home. I'm in love.

This is the living room, overlooking the lake. I added a hearth for the Ghibli-inspired comfort.

The bedroom I kept clean and simple, white linen, a small desk and a fish tank. The laundry room is in the cupboard.

I may have left a couple pairs of my own linen lying around too.

I went with an upside down house, with the kitchen and bathroom upstairs, as well as a small living area. For the kitchen I went simple and minimal, just a couple of essentials. The bathroom is adjoined, with the toilet hidden away in the cupboard.

Hope you like it, I'm certainly at home now.

  3. My kitchen is a little mish-mash at the moment. I love this {C&C} Kitchen Witch Hearth and can't get rid of it, but it throws my entire room. Despite it not architecturally making sense, I love it. Shout out to the little witch cat chilling on my stove.

  4. I know the frustration. I have some lovely neighbours who made the unfortunate choice of having an entire cave of wolves outside their home. I blacklisted each of the wolves, only to find the howling still continued, every few seconds, loudly. I had to use sound explorer to blacklist some obscure object that continued the howling. Felt bad for doing it but it's all sorted now and I no longer hear it. Hope you manage to sort it!

  5. My first home was a small trailer on Saltmarsh, didn't have much a view but loved the wacky neighbours. They had a little junkyard and rusting cars in their garden, really fun people. Sad to move but love my log home, feel I'll stay here a long time to come.

  6. Since getting my new laptop (Windows 8, 64 bit, NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M, Inter i7 processor), I re-downloaded my prefered viewer, Nirans. I was faced with a strange flickering of the scrolling bars on the sides of the viewer windows, and when opening Inventory, everything would flicker. I changed to Exodus and the problem still persists. I have updated my graphics drivers but still not luck. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? I haven't found it anywhere else yet. Thanks in advance.

    Details of viewer and laptop:

    CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3630QM CPU @ 2.40GHz (2394.55 MHz)

    UPDATE:

Everything works fine on the official Linden labs viewer, I'm guessing it's just a 3rd party issue.
