I purchased a mesh avatar not long ago to find out it was just a mesh body that is worn over a regular avatar, you can most likely guess all the problems that creates when trying to make clothes work and fit. so I thought why not build my own mesh avatar a real mesh avatar that you can wear a skin on just like any other linden labs avatar. I bought a shape that I really liked and rigged it it seems to work well on my desk top but when up loaded it gets deformed in a few places. the arms and head mainly. is there anyone out there that has done this before that would be willing to give me a few pointers or point me to a video i can watch about the finer aspects of fin tuning a mesh avatar? my plan was to build the avatar so its a shape then you would be able to wear your normal fitted mesh clothes over the top just like the freebie mesh linden labs avatars, also I am trying to figure out a way to uvmap it so that if you had a skin you liked you could just apply it over the mesh shape, but I am not sure that is even possible, I am new to all this mesh stuff. anyway I would appreciate any feed back or help anyone can give me thanks knot
