  1. I have been connecting to SL from this computer for years. I made no recent software or hardware connections. I've tried restarting the computer and rebooting the modem and router. I have been getting this error every time I try to connect for about a week now. I have tried several different viewers and get the same error. My internet connection is fine. Error 4: Unable to connect to the Second Life grid. Check your internet connection. I don't even have the option to log in to any region. On launch, the viewer tries to connect to the grid (before login) to get the data for the viewer splash page and that's when I get the error. After the error the viewer closes. The same thing happens in the SL Viewer and Firestorm and on multiple accounts.
  2. Normals was the problem. I didn't know about them, but I pressed "recalculate normals in blender and re-uploaded it and it works great now. Thanks
  3. Oh, and I created it in blender, exported to collabra then uploaded.
  4. I created a mesh object (a curved roof with asian style corners that flare upward). It is a solid object completely bounded with faces. But some of the faces rez incorrectly. For about half the faces the inside of the face rezzes instead of the outside. So if you stand on the outside of the object you don't see some faces, but you see them if you position your camera inside the solid object and look outward, which is the opposite of how an object's faces normally rez. I can't figure out a solution, but I'm fairly new to mesh. Any suggestions?
