Filbertius Fall

I met a special resident named Special Cathcart in world. She helped me get set so that I can choose sim at login. Teleporting is still not working, but I have not had the chance to try the suggestions made here, and ran out of time until tonight to try any more experiments. When I am offered a teleport, or click the "exit" sign at Help Island, my screen does not show any box asking if I accept. When I try to TP, it acts like it might work, screen blanks, the progress bar starts moving very slowly (much, much slower than on login). The progress bar gets about 1/3 of the way across, then stops. The screen then goes to a gray-scale pic of my last location, tells me that I have been looged out, offering to let me view IM and chat, or to quit. My system - iMac running 10.5.8 (yes I know I need to upgrade, it is on my list...), AT&T uverse internet to fiber optic in the street in front of house, SL version 3.2.6.248086.

Same thing has gone on for the last 2 days. When I went on yesterday, SL needed to do an update (no surprise - it has been a couple of months since I last came in...). Don't know the version of the update off hand, but hopefully is now current...

I am in world way too infrequently, so when I do drop in, things like this happen and increase frustration levels, and I then don't feel any great need to drop in again.... I apparently was last on Help Island. Now I cannot teleport to any other location. Every time I try, the screen goes blank and the little progress bar starts VERY slowly crawling across the bar. Before it gets all the way across, SL tells me that "darn, you have been logged out" or something to that effect. Also had some problems with clothing, body shape, sex, etc, but those seem to have settled down. I would just like to be able to jump around again.
