  1. Awesome suggestions! Thanks to both of u. I'm not tech so didn't even know there was something called freelancing! Lol. I'll check out the sites!
  2. I'm looking for a programmer to help me with a small project. Anyone know someone with good skills? Tried doing it myself but I'm lame and can't figure it out...lol. It's a paid gig within reason. If this is not the right forum to post this, please let me know a better forum/blog/classified area. Thanks!
  3. Edit #2: 2/26/12 10:42 PM PST... Yep that was it. The three "mute" features under the line in that fly out box all apply to VOICE CHAT! Group members must be active and the modirator must be active in a group call. Darn...this doesn't help me with what I want to do but at least I now know how to activate "mute everyone!" Thanks Charlotte...YOU ROCK! Edit #1: 2/26/12 9:56 PM PST... Charlotte I think you solved the problem. The "mute" options must relate to VOICE chat. I'll test tomorrow with a couple of people in my group. That makes sense though..."mute" is usually for sound. My original question (see below) received three great helpful responses with additional trouble shooting questions. Didn't know how to respond to them from within the original question so I'm posting a follow up Part 2: Trouble Shooting Responses: An active chat was taking place from within the group conversation dialogue box with three members. Even with a conversation taking place, the owner of the group could not select "mute everyone" under modirator options. It was not active.I was wearing the group "owner" tag (I think). In other words...I was logged in, the group conversation dialogue box was open, I could see the moderator options because I'm the owner but mute everyone was not active.I know about roles, abilities and preferences. You can disable chat for a designated role within a group. The problem with this is then that person with that role can't see any of the chat that is going on in the group conversation dialogue box. they can't chat and they can't "see" the rest of the chats taking place. I want them to still be able to see the rest of the chat. There are times where I just want to mute everyone (which is a feature under modirator options...it's just not active for me and can't figure out why...grrrrr...I'M THE OWNER OF THE GROUP! LOL)The Moderate Group section of the Knowledge Base was helpful but did not speak to the "Mute Everyone" feature. No directions on how it works or how to get it to activate.Any continuing help from anyone would be awesome! Driving me nuts! I'm sure it's simple just can't figure out. BOTTOM LINE QUESTION: HOW DO YOU ACTIVATE THE "MUTE EVERYONE" MODIRATOR OPTION FEATURE FROM WITHIN A GROUP? I'm the group owner with modirator rights...I can see the option "Mute Everyone" but it is grey and not active. ORIGINAL POST: I am the owner of a group which gives me "moderate group chat" rights. Under the "moderator options" fly out window of the group conversation window there is a feature called MUTE EVERYONE. However, it is grey and not "active." How do I get this feature to activate? when i click on "moderator options" a second fly out window opens with the follow four features: Allow text chatMute this participantMute everyoneUnmute everyoneThe allow text chat is active and I can check and uncheck that. The other three ARE NOT ACTIVE. How do I get them to activate? I'm the group owner...I should have this option. Is it because I only have 7 people in my group so far? Thanks

  5. Sorry..basic questions that have probably been answered a billion times but I can't find the answers after searching for a couple of hours... 1. Is there a limit to the number of people who can join a group? 2. How does the group size impact group chat? Example: If I have 100,000 people in a group, can SL handle a broadcast message in group chat? Thanks.
