  1. welp that worked but didnt... aparently if i export the COLLADA file in blender 2.6 which is suposedly more stable once i import it into SL .. SL crumples it into a ball and screws it all up , but if i export it in blender 2.49 , it just gives an error and wount import it , tryed just going ahead .. ( very disapointed there is no MESH DEMO a supper wast of L if your having to import and delete things alot to get it right .) but anyhow .. when i tryed importing it it just droped the skin weight all together @.@
  2. also a note when you are parenting your mesh onto the skeliton from SL make sure you select the mesh body FIRST , then hold SHIFT and click on each bone individualy adding them , the arms legs feet eyes and head and chest just those they should highlight blue , once those all selscted CTRL + P and hit parent and amature and with automatic weights or in blender 2.49 i think it asks generate heat or somthing you want that one so it then sets the bones all up then you just go in and manualy paint the heat in to the corect parts and that should do. though i not tryed emvelope yet but the way i said works if you want to try that
  3. Yup that was it aparently, wish they would tell us what the polly count limit is for SL , but aparently 88k is too much my new count is around 17k so that works , ( yes i know thats still prity high for a game )
  4. Also aparently Blender 2.6 works with it and better since they made it easyer to export COLLADA files. tryed that it was alote faster and you dont have to " make real " to export it though i still got the same issue , im thinking maybe i have too many pollys , reset it with out any smooth effects and it went down to 17k so going to atempt that and see if it works.
  5. yes using blender 2.49 , and yes im using the SL pre made bones and yes alreayd parented them and set as amature and make skin weight , but in blender 2.49 it calls skin weight " heat " all that is done fine , i made one just like that befor and imported it fine , though now that im looking at it my other model was like 17k pollys , and the new one some how claims to be 88k pollys , gona try to redo it with less , not sure why its so high though all i did was lop the head off my old one i made and remake the head with more detail .. so it should not be that high ... have to retry again with lower pollys and see if it still messes up.
  6. I made a model with skin weight and every thing , my second one actuly the first worked fine when i imported it .. then i updated it and smoothed it out some more then when i went to import it in again as a COLLADA file from blender , as i did before it comes into SL missing the head and one hand ... and if i hit the skin weight check box it crashes SL and then when i try and calculate weights and fees it says : " name-mesh failed to upload: MAV_BLOCK_MISSING NewAgentinventory_InvalisAsset " Any one have any ideas what might be going wrong ?
