  1. Thank you for the reply. I have a fiber connection so it should be fast enough, I regularly download at 5.5 MB/s per second and my hard drive has no problems. Nevertheless I tried different network settings, from the lowest, to 25/50/75/100%, all of them gave the same choppy/freezing effect. I've also checked my CPU, memory and videocard performance levels and none of them are close to 100% when the screen freezes. Very odd. I'm thinking it must be some kind of hardware incompatablity or wrong setting I'm not aware of, but for the life of I can't figure it out.
  2. Hello everyone, I've recently begun playing SL but I cannot seem to fix my client. Even in small enclosed spaces, minutes after everything has loaded, it still freezes for about 1 second every 4 seconds, sometimes worse. I've put everything on the lowest detail and increased my network bandwitdh to the max. I have a i5 750 CPU, radeon HD 6970, 8 gigs of memory and a 50/50 mbit fiber connection. This should be more than enough to play lag free in small worlds with everything on low I would say. I've tried both the normal viewer and phoenix, but it doesn't make much of a difference. My drivers are up to date and I don't experience any problems with other games. If anyone has any suggestions they would be much appreciated. Regards, Jennifer
